HEADLINE: Return of the Emerald Threat
Captain Krakscragger has shown his boney face once again, threatening the seas and islands both. This time he took to tormenting the halflings of Bendir Dale, striking with his fearsome oversized galleon and hordes of undead. The half-sized community showed their full sized heart, fighting off the undead forces.
A quote from one Merelen Greenhill states that their druids and priests performed "hallowing rituals", and "the undead retreated after that". Additional comments from other residents in investigation stated that the citizens were safe, however many graves were desecrated. Will the Bone Captain keep striking around these seas? What is he actually after, if not just rampant murder?
The Goat Trips And Falls. Again.
It is not enjoyable to write on this topic and person over and over, but it seems this fall was all the way to the Hells.
Nieri Aetherforge, once celebrated Gondite and Paladin, has fallen quite literally. Following her lies delivered to The Sharps of Andunor, she fled Sibayad to Cordor where she took up residence as their Minister of Trade. But little did everyone know her treachery lay much deeper. She had secreted a pact to a devil of artifice and began to produce for The Sharps and play with Hellfire. Following a direct interview with Azalin Blackcloak, she produced four Hellfire Engines and placed them in various locations, a dangerous prospect.
Her lies and twists of the truth has landed her an exile from Sibayad, and we await to see the City of Cordor's response to this discovery. If it were not for the Sibayad Council's prying, it is unlikely most of this would have been founded as swiftly as it was.
How far will one go, if not miles below into the underdark or to the Hells themselves?
Tournament: Win Seven Million Coins!
The upcoming anniversary of Vizier Eduard Helbrecht is coming up, and to celebrate a Grand Tournament is to be held! Boasting a second year of peace (minor conflicts excluded), Sibayad plans to give back to merchants, citizens, and visitors alike. Continued Travel Advisory: Andunor
The Sharps and allies grow more bold and have begun to strike out at the isle of Arelith with more frequency, claiming victories against Guldorand repeatedly. As a result the entirety of Andunor has grown hostile expecting spies everywhere, going so far as to detain and make demands of Sibayad's very own Arbiters.
Commander Aylin yi Sphur Upra has put out a statement warning against traveling to Andunor. It is "Advised of unsafe travel conditions in Andunor", and "we strongly advise all of our citizenry to refrain from travel and trade in Andunor until such a time as tensions have lessened.
Will their raids have a lasting impact on trade, or the welfare of the Isle of Arelith? The future holds the truth.
Spotlight: Scales and Serpents
In the tunnels under the Spice Road lays the coils of scales and the hiss of vipers. The Amphisbaena Makhbaan exists as a temple, or ruin, celebrating the two-headed pit viper. So the story goes that one of these two headed creatures resided there and used its mind magics to enslave and make its Makhbaan, or lair. Yet fortune was not with the serpents, as some blade found the creature and slew it in twain.
The lair fell to ruin, yet in recent years it is said the spirits of the now split serpent have risen again to befoul and haunt the ruins. Lizardfolk flock to the place now for reasons unknown. A lesser threat to the Town of Sibayad, but still a threat all the same.
