The Feymagic Doll

From Encyclopedia Arelithica 3.0

I was presented with a ragdoll style doll in the image of Celendil Silverspear, a female elven mage from the Circle, for study.  The doll had been crafted by a hooded woman in the Nomad and dropped beside Celendil as the woman exited the Nomad.

The doll demonstrates several unusual properties.  When in close proximity to the doll one can detect, what can only be called, a faint heartbeat.  In addition, the doll is somewhat warm, as any small mammal would be.

After the first night of research I left the doll laying on my desk and went to bed.  When I awoke in the morning, the doll was sitting at the foot of my bed.  No one was in my room or entered by room over the course of the night.

Upon further research into the doll, I was able to detect faint traces of feymagic woven into the threads used to stitch the doll together.

After further discussion with Celendil about the doll we decided that the doll should be kept in Spellhold while not actually being studied.  Three nights in a row I placed the doll in Spellhold, and each morning the doll was found in locations outside of Spellhold.

When the doll first came into my posession, with Celendil's consent, I pinched the doll's nose to see if the effect was also experienced by Celendil herself.  There was no shared sensation of the pinch between the doll and Celendil.

Most that observe the doll have all used "creepy" as the word to best describe the doll  The doll very much gives the impression that it is watching you.

Further research into the doll is needed.  Right now, I have loaned the doll to Ophelia, the Archmage of Myon and Circle member so that she may also study the doll.

A second feymagic doll was found.  This one was offered as a gift to Heinrich Weyer, Apprentice to the Arcane Tower by a woman he met in the Bloodmoon Orc caves.  The woman claimed to the caves belong to her.

Heinrich later had many other encounters with the woman who appears to use different names and faces including: LeChaunce, Morgan. Margret, and Vivian.  She also spends time in the Arelith Forest and claims to have a library there.

Magus Poe searched the forest and found no library. It's possible that she's moved on elsewhere by now.

The woman is a feylock and extremely dangerous and currently beleived to be a threat to the Tower after an attack on myself by the apprentice with a dagger provided by the woman.  As for the cursed doll, it is currently in the posession of Sinra Talos, a former Archamage of the Tower.

Horned Sheep Doll / Plushie Ram:

The horned sheep doll, the plushie ram, and likely other of the dolls created by Avaline Sullivan AKA Vivian LaChaunce, Morgan, Claire, Sophia Grimani, the witch, etc.  have a very nasty curse upon them.

The curse, native to the Denerall Forests of the Moonshae Isles is a nasty counter measure that has been added to the doll.  Should someone attempt to burn the fetish, the cursed would be met with a sudden painful burning sensation in the eyes rendering them blind until treated.

A woman named Vureem (?) delivered the Horned Sheep Doll to me after it had been in her posession for one month.  She indicated that after two months of having the doll in her posession she became completely unable to sleep.

Vureem reported that sleeping with the stuffed doll gave her nightmares. With Loghan at my side, I decided to sleep with the doll myself.  I requested Loghan's presence in case anything went wrong.

I quickly entered a dream state that was quite vivid, finding myself  cold and lonely in the dark with nothing but  pale purple moon light to offer a sense of direction as I worked my way through a maze of briars and thorns with roses woven between them.

I seemed to walk forever, unable to find direction.  Eventually I came to the center of the maze, where there was a beautfiul silver pool laden with white roses and small purple flowers with something floating at it's center.

It wasn't long before I realize that the thing floating at the center wasn't really a thing, but a person.  I made my way closer to the center and ther person, only to find that...it was another me.  And there I stood, looking at myself.

After an absolute feeling or horror swept over me the dream ended as Loghan had awakened me.

I've only slept with the doll the one time and I don't intend to do it again.  Loghan also slept with the doll and reported the same exact dream that I had. Given my brief observation of Vureem, the doll seems make the nightmare longer each time, and the subject begins to suffer from sleep deprivation and a lack of appetite, nervousness, paranoia, irritibility  Within a few days of removing the doll from Vureem's posession she showed marked signs of improvement and better all around health and disposition.
