Murderer on the loose!
Day 5, Month 3 (Ches), 187 AR
A madman seems to have gone around, murdering poor townfolk around Cordor. At around 1am on the fifth of Ches, multiple inhabitants of Cordor were found dead, among them Negnar in the Nomad, Kerard the executioner, multiple farm animals and Toman. While nobody was able to describe the murderer in detail, all witnesses mentioned a 'tall, lithe, hale and hearty human male' who was there around the time of murder. Further investigations produced a potential suspect, who wore a brown coat, a crossbow, and had blonde hair. Should you have seen anything, let the guard know about it! Until then, stay safe.
Report on the Cordorian Tournament
Day 16, Month 2 (Alturiak), 187 AR
On the Third of Alturiac, the Cordorian Tournament was held - a show of martial arts seldom seen before. It was a two versus two randomly seeded single elimination tournament. The prize money was: 650 bags for the winner, 250 bags for the runner up, and 100 bags for third place. The teams participating were: ?Two Elves?, ?Echidna?, ?Hinballers?, ?Xenila?, ?Blood and Crown?, ?Tankard and Tyke?, ?Coat?, ?Initiate, ??Ashcloaks?, ?Raclette?, ?X?, and ?Vol Vol Vol?. The announcer was Chancellor Liara Sendiuril. The most notable teams were Team Ashcloak, who casted a Hellball hitting the crowd; Team Vol Vol Vol which summoned genies that gave everyone Spell Resistance; and Team Raclette, who managed to Hellball the crowd, over the course of three matches, four times! A dishonorable mention has to go to the fight between Team Coat and Team Initiate, in which one of the fighters from Team Coat repeatedly went into hiding, healing up and coming back for a little scrap before vanishing again, until the Chancellor forbade healing during the rest of the fight. Shortly afterwards, he used a healing potion and was thus disqualified.
The first semifinal was between Team Ashcloak and Xenila, in which the former team managed to take down the latter in a matter of seconds. Team Raclette and Team Initiate fought in the second semifinal match, and, after one of their signature Hellballs, Team Raclette secured it for themselves. Following the semifinals, the fight for third place was won by Team Xenila, who took the prize money and left Team Initiate to take the most frustrating fourth place.
The Grand Final between Team Ashcloak and Team Raclette started with something truly amazing: a perfectly timed Time Stop from both teams which left the audience not only frozen in awe, but also in time. One member of Team Raclette got taken out shortly after the clocks started ticking again, and the second member gave the audience a little goodbye present in form of a final Hellball, before they, too, were knocked out by the winners: Team Ashcloak, Henry Paternell and Niffaniel.
Dead workers found at the docks.
Day 16, Month 2 (Alturiak), 187 AR
Some days ago a citizen reported two dead dockworkers on the docks at the cultural district to the guardswoman Freya Brande. She promptly followed them to the docks alongside the healer Makros Lachman who happened to be nearby when it was reported.
Upon reaching the area, the body of two dockworkers were spotted on the docks. Both were fortunately able to be brought back to life by the Banite priest Makros.
As far as we can tell there was no evident attacker, but further investigations by the guard point out the cause may have been an attack by creatures coming from the sewers entrance nearby. This raises some concerns regarding the safety of such entrances and the possible spread of diseases if such attacks continues to happen.
Manhunter Troglodytes ?
Day 13, Month 2 (Alturiak), 187 AR
Three trines ago a trog was spotted on the roundabouts of the forest of despair by two men.
According to the report both of them were working on writs at the forest of despair when they sighted a Troglodyte sorcerer wearing an amulet of malar, that which started to threaten them, they said it wasnt until reaching greyhammer that the Troglodyte stopped chasing them.
It is unknown if it is just a lone individual or there is an entire group of Malarite trogs, caution is advised when approaching the forest of despair, as it is close to caves that lead to the underdark.
