On The Topic Of The Guldorand Plague
A simple marking of a coiled snake is seen on the binding of this book.
On the Plague
With a terrible sickness falling upon this city, it is the duty of we faithful to see it combated. Though befallen of sickeness may find some solace within the arms of the Black Host. As Priestess of the Black Hand, I shall render His auspices to those who would praise His name. Furthermore, I encourage all to offer prayer to the Mother of Plagues and Her church. For it would be through Her that this city might be spared.
That is all.

The Plague in Guldorand - Response from the Government
Hello Citizens.
With the talk, and proof, of a Plague among our people, and the peoples of Cordor, our government has begun taking action to both combat, and cure this plague, as well as find it source.
The Government Sponsored organization, Winter's Rest Hospital and University, are already studying the strange goopy bones and items found around, as well as patients who have been aflicted by the disease. Proper percautions are being taken to ensure that research is done both safely and quickly.
Shield Ain Amaleen is providing Wands and Scrolls of Cure Disease and Remove Curse, and other Alchemists we have under our employ are creating Ironguts potions, as well as Potions of Antidote.
The Thayan Embassy also carries rings that make the wearer immune to dissease.
For the Alchemists and Wandmakers, those items will be rationed freely to Citizens at no cost to them until the plague is over. Those who feel symptoms or strange should report IMMEDIATELY to Winter's Rest Hospital in Westcliff, or ask for an escort there by a Shield, or any Government official.
Let it be known that we are heavily looking into this all, and we are more than willing to hand out the proper preventitive equipment and items to our citizens.
If you notice any disseased bodies or objects, DO NOT INTERACT WITH IT. Instead, call a Watch Member, or any major Arcanist or Priest in our Government to aid in it's disposal.
Anyone who is worried, has suggestions, or otherwise, can bring them to myself, Steward Vernes Rivers, Treasurer Chaesendra Desmantes, or Magister Angela Amana.
Oaks Strength, Guldorand.

A DESPERATE PLEA.
DAY TWENTY-THREE, in which the Church finds itself woefully under-manned and under-funded in dealing with the Blackbone Ache.
I hate that I must stoop to this, verily I do, but I must beg alms from Guldorand and its citizens, for I am but one man and have not the means to single-handedly stave off a plague.
Any who would ward themselves and their house against THE PLAGUE MAIDEN'S TOUCH and help to fight this terrible blight, make your tithes at your nearest bank teller to the "Church of Talona" faction.
A word of caution: We are not stupid, and we can see the details of all incoming transactions. We will be remembering well those who make generous (AND ANONYMOUS!) donations and will take PAINS to ensure that the ACHE does not find them.
If you will not or cannot tithe, you need but PRAY FEVERISHLY!

The DARKMARROW PLAGUE strikes the City Port!
THREE NIGHTS PAST as of this writing marked the height of a terrible episode in this city's brief history: DEATH did walk up and down the lanes and docks of the Port District, touching scores at whim and marking them with the DARKMARROW AGUE, a most terrible and deadly visitation of DREAD TALONA whose symptoms may be inferred from this name given it by ye little EFFIGIES of WAX and SILT.
Despite the best efforts of the noble WATCH to CONCEAL this AWFUL TRAGEDY from GULDORAND AT LARGE, there have been MULTIPLE SIGHTINGS of BODY BARGES quietly leaving port by cover of night, LADEN with DARKMARROW VICTIMS removed by teams of smugglers.
We pray feverishly to DREAD TALONA that this TERRIBLE PLAGUE may not make the crossing from Port to City Main!
Our heart ACHES! We are ALL ONE!
A mass of WORMS WRITHING in a BODY.
YOU are WORMS! WE are WORMS!
PRAY!

Public Health Advisory for the People of Guldorand
Citizens of Guldorand, as you may have heard, there have been reports of a disease spreading through our city. Rest assured that our military and political leaders are doing everything they can to get to the root of the problem, and our best arcanists and medical personnel are working tirelessly to develop a cure.
Until such time, it is important to guard yourselves against the possibility of infection. To that end, we have developed a list of practical steps you can take to mitigate risk to you and your loved ones until the crisis is brought to an end:
1) Make sure to wash your hands regularly
2) Make sure all food you eat looks healthy no signs of rot, disfigurement, or malignancy
3) Avoid foul odors and vapors as such things can potentially carry infection
4) If you or a loved one begins developing any of the following symptoms, seek out a member of The Watch, The Garrison, or The Dawnguard immediately:
- Coughing
- Sneezing
- Upset stomach
- Infestation of arm-length parasites
5) Please keep an eye out for suspicious persons leaving tainted bones or other items in barrels, crates, or other places throughout Guldorand
Thank you all for your cooperation in this time of crisis.

Urgent Warning to all Gnomes of Arelith
Due to words I heard spoken in a scrying session of the one responsible for the current shadow clone plague we are encountering in Cordor, I am issuing a warning to all gnomes of the isle to be cautious of your surroundings, where you travel, and who you keep company with.
The creature known as Gordon is apparently seeking out specific gnomes for whatever foul project he and his followers are plotting.
