On Captain Krakscragger's Upcoming Attacks

Citizens, Garrison, Constables, Navy, and all who dwell in Guldorand,

Next trine, Captain Krakscragger's attack on Cordor is scheduled. The desire to help is understandable. Many of you no doubt have friends and loved ones in Cordor; many of you rightly want to put down the undead scourge, to do your part in saving our isle.

However, we must remember -- the Captain and his ship has the ability to teleport across the island at a moment's notice. He can attack ANYWHERE, at ANY TIME. While he has said he will attack Cordor, nothing stops him from breaking his promise to attack undefended ports, and all the civilians living within.

That is why it is IMPERATIVE that all REMAIN CLOSE TO GULDORAND as the Captain's attack goes on, and that we stand ready to defend our own ports.

The same goes for ourselves and other settlements. We cannot expect Cordor, Brogendenstein, Sibayad, or anyone else to come to our own rescue when the undead attack. It's been incredible watching everyone come together, working together to prepare to defend our home; those preparations must continue, if we are to get through this.

This does not impact the wider defensive pact we hope to move towards with other settlements. When the drow come, as they so often do, we will stand together. It should also be noted that Myon, owing to our sharing a port, is welcome to join our own efforts when it comes to repelling the Captain, when our time comes.

Nevertheless, the underlying point remains: against this threat, who takes the bodies of the fallen and adds them to his army, we MUST prioritise defending our own homes, and trust in our neighbours to do the same.
