Myon History - The Descent of Clea Stormheart
The following is the collection of statements and accounts regarding the fall from grace of Clea Stormheart, starting from AR 147 up until her official naming as vyshaan in AR 149.
With these tomes bound, may the bloody reign of Clea the Mad come to a close.
Bound in AR 156 by P.Mosbrooke for the the Fox's Den's archives.
Denunciation of Clea of Stormheart by the clergy of Tel'Seldarin
The clergy of Tel'Seldarine has convened this tenday to deliberate on whether Clea of Stormheart's recent actions are heinous enough to brand her as a dhaerrow in perpetuity.
Let it be known that the clergy does not find Clea and her actions to earn eternal damnation the same as those of below, as such condemnation is reserved for those who have committed unspeakable crimes against Tel'Seldarine.
Nonetheless, it is with heavy heart that I pen this denunciation of Clea. It continues to be my hope that she will find peace and kindness that many of her supporters know and remember her for.
Her recklessness at the Arcane Tower in provoking the Fletcher has caused Tel'Quessir to be injured and slain, and she has instigated, and ultimately lured the abomination to others as she was unable to handle him on her own. While the abomination remains guilty for his continued vile acts against Tel'Quessir and of nature itself, Clea's part in endangering others cannot be ignored.
Furthermore, multiple Tel'Quess have witnessed her continued use of threats of force against other Tel'Quessir. Many excuse such behaviors as an expression of anger, but let it be known threats are matters taken seriously in all communities of Tel'Quess, and we must not accept the madness of the isle which normalizes violence and treachery as acts of good.
I, Aelarhar of the Great Archer, hereby denounce Clea for her reckless endangerment of others, her lack of appreciation for life of her own child and of other Tel'Quess, and her lack of wisdom in not knowing when force is to be used and against whom.
I continue to urge all Tel'Quessir to follow your hearts. If you wish to defend her against her attackers, such is commendable. Yet your life is valuable, and it is not my hope to see any shed their blood for one who cares not for your suffering, your life, or your death.
The voices of Tel'Seldarine have spoken. Be strong in heart against the corruption from within, blessed children of Corellon.

Myon: An Accounting of Deeds
Here, against my better judgement, I shall endeavor to explain succinctly what is happening in Myon for the benefit of those who have neither contact with us nor familiarity with elven culture or mindset.
Clea Sara'faell, past coronal of Myon, wished to unilaterally pledge elven lives to an unprovoked lightning war against the Banefaith of Minmir as a power move and an exhibition of Myonian military prowess, but had the consent and support of only a minority of her people.
This backfired and public opinion quickly turned against Clea. Detractors cited rarity of elven births and over-eagerness to pre-emptively commit elven lives to yet another war with an enemy who has not cast the first stone, while already battling drow and pirates.
When pressed and questioned she doubled down with rhetoric that all elves under her should fight every evil on every front regardless of the odds, and be content to be rewarded in Arvandor for their sacrifices. Wisdom or folly?
The same day, Lakas of Larthanien sued for a non-aggression pact with the Banites without the Coronal's knowledge, undermining her authority, for which he was relieved of command by the Coronal at swordpoint. There has been no further contact with this sect by any person of rank in Myon since this incident.
In two subsequent incidents, several Black Archers operating out of Myon were supported by the Men of Bane to further the holy mandate of the Arrow Bringer to hunt and exterminate all drow.
Ultimately they of Shevarash are free folk who may choose for themselves how to follow their own holy mandates. If they must do so as outcasts from Myon for the safety of those others who prefer to focus on other, happier aspects of the Seldarine, I think they will not be discouraged for it.

Myon: An Accounting of Deeds, Pt. II
For sowing yet more strife and division among her people during what is meant to be a time of healing and mending of rifts, Clea Sara'faell was banished from Myon by Coronal Laphria. After then grandstanding and refusing to leave the city, she was slain by Tyne of the Unicorn Run, a faerie creature who is very protective of those she favors, and remembers well Clea's drawing steel in anger against Lakas of Larthanien.
It is the humble opinion of this writer that the Banefaith have masterfully played brother against brother and sister against sister merely by existing, and all who denounce one another and demand others act while failing to act themselves are serving Tyros Iaret exactly what he wants, on a silver platter.
Moreover, the issue of the missing Heartstone supersedes all other concerns. Without the stone in its rightful place, this isle will slowly die and eventually sink into the sea.
Hate and pride are a trap for fools. Divest yourselves of these things.

Reports of Guldorand-allied elves shrieking to attack Myon
This was spoken to me by the dark Tyros Iaret, that upon the most latest siege (at date of writing, the morning of the fourth day of Nightal) of his black keep by the axes of Guldorand there were elves with them who shouted that next was the "allies" of Bane and their puppets: Myon and the Walled City Cordor.
The author believes it important to note the stark similarities in what Ven has written of this Nostalfay clan and what has been relayed to me by the forked tongue of Iaret. Further investigation is undoubtedly merited.

A Lorekeeper's Opine, on matters Coronal and electoral
As we are all aware our former Coronal has resigned in pursuit of activities that do not cause her so much grief.
Now two stand for the auspice of leadership: the priestess Vaylani and the mage Sylmae.
It must be said very plainly now that I completely disdain the latter magus and cannot encourage even the most bare support of her, or more accurately this Crescent Arrow she supports.
My reasons for such are simple: Clea Stormheart has been driven to raving lunacy -- by what force, I should speculate only to be the stresses of leadership -- and now sees the Fair City as some artefact or object to be grasped, or in quotation "reclaimed."
Yet also she speaks of outright hatred for some of those who dwell in the city, her own people, for daring to believe or act contrarily to her wish or way. She has drawn blade upon them in the past, and forced others to an unwanted reaction to her insistence on impertinent disobedience.
Her moral consistency is simply not. In the past she disparaged the black, fell ways of the abomination Myrrh and now yet calls her an ally and attempts to utilise her for her campaign; even the abomination itself recognises this as disingenuous, citing her belief that Clea shall turn back upon her once she has returned to the city's good grace.
The puppet she has put forth to circumvent her outcasting is similarly corrupt, someone who stood before the Black Archers and demanded the life of a mad dhaeraow be saved for reasons of "study." More that this monster blasphemously claimed to be a holy warrior of our Creator, and still she defended it.
Neither do I believe the rabid pursuance of an alliance with the dwarven Hold to be such a wise course of action. They have frequently shown themselves to be dogmatic and outright hostile to anyone who falls outside the groping grasp of their strangling Dominion. Irony demands I point out at least this similarity between the two.

A Lorekeepers Opine, on matters Coronal and electoral pt. II
All of these things I have learned are from the mere asking of questions; both from the lips of Clea's opponents, Clea's allied, and Clea herself. I wish her no true ill will, but my most firm belief is that were she to take power in Myon the results would be disastrous. I hold no rank, no office, and no motive beyond the betterment of our people and the city in which they live.
My purpose in writing this was only to inform and educate; I am well aware the difficulty in cutting through the at times intentional obfuscation that comes with matters related to the political. I trust that this treatise shall help all our people to make a more confident decision in whom they give their support to.

The Spires Battle
I was asked to write to document this in truth. When traveling to the base camp of the Spires with Beryl and Edgar, we encountered Clea, Valendel, Viris, and many dwarves. Clea and Valendel spoke of her death in Myon.
The dwarven thane said I would be imprisoned and interrogated. The three elves named wished to kill me. Halfling Meriam started this fight, by striking Edgar. The elves focused their attacks on me.
I was warded only lightly at the time. I hastened and ducked for a safe cover to ward myself more fully, and managed to slip from their sight to do this. I made ready quickly, but the fight was already ended when I returned.
Beryl was allowed to leave. I was not close enough to hear any of what she said to them. I departed also, and received a messenger later that they meant to pluck out my wings and grind my skull to dust. I replied that they would need to capture me for this to happen.

An act of direct violence upon my person
The events of some days ago were a furious whirlwind of tragedy.
I have seen the vyshaan, Clea, wandering inside Myon despite her exile. She was in guise but yet stood and walked among us as if she truly belonged. Upon confrontation she broke lens to some place unknown.
Upon my exit some short time later I found her lurking outside the city's entry portal, upon horseback with her blade in hand and protected by magical spells. She demanded that I allow her entry to allow the collection of the things she had stored, to which I denied for reasons I should think are obvious; my own lack of authority on such a matter least among them.
To this she became enraged, demanding I strike her down for the naming of her as vyshaan. At this point others arrived, both passing and going into the Fair City. One of which was Laphria -- the two tilted verbally for a short time, before Clea demanded to be slain, again. Laphria cast a spell of protective sanctuary, to which Clea responded by using a wand of her own.
Clea fled to the ruined Wharftown, eventually breaking a portal lens to escape.
I made my way back to the portal dais in the wood, to speak with someone I had called there for a meeting. Upon which she arrived minutes after, astride her horse and immediately using a wand of fire-shield. She shouted at me -- asking if I wanted war. I told her no, but her intent in forcing it was fairly clear. And then she rode, charging at me with her blade.
As any reasonable person would do I drew my own sword and shield to defend myself. The fighting went on there for a while until she fled south, out front of the Bendir village -- attempting, I must presume, to use the halflings there as some kind of shield or distraction.

An act of direct violence upon my person, ii
Upon our arrival I finally felt the true bite of her blade: it was some kind of poison she had used upon me, to try and afflict the victim's (me, in this case) mind with a number of mentally debilitating effects, the least of which where blurs in my vision and a difficulty concentrating for many hours after.
Eventually I managed to push her further down the road, where she used another lens to flee again. The mayor of Bendir approached me and was informed of what happened, and he had no problem with my actions -- saying only that if there was further trouble to notify him, to which I responded graciously.
Today, thankfully, I am well and hale and carry no lingering effects of her attack, save one: the very fact that it has occurred at all. Once I defended her and fought alongside her against Varith the half-dead. Now she seeks my demise.

The City of Myon names Clea Stormheart as vyshaan.
There is a certain heaviness to my heart as I pen these words, knowing their necessity and the deeds and words that I shall list. Make no mistake: I have sought ever since my first hearing of her to repair this great schism and divide, and heal the wounds we have made upon ourselves.
I no longer believe this is possible through diplomacy with Clea. The exile's madness has gone too far, and in the wake of an only barely unsuccessful regicide -- one made possible by a madness driven by Clea's forked tongue. She has spoken that the attack by Fletcher upon her life at the Tower was on the Coronal's behalf, an utter falsehood.
Perhaps if a certain exile would have ever ceased in her rhetoric that the Fair City is compromised by the faith of the Black Hand, then we would not currently suffer. Yet we have, we do, and undoubtedly until her malevolence comes to an end we will continue to suffer.
I shall note now her three closest allies: her husband, Valendel, the mage Sylmae of the Sceptres, and Rivis the Shamed. These three individuals are a mirror of the darkness and the evil that lies inside her heart, a representation each of them of Clea's aberrance and how far she has truly fallen from what is good and right.
Valendel has in the past come to Cordor and with his bow slain the innocent civilian, smallfolk who have done nothing save live their lives in an often all too cruel world. He slew also ministers and guards who tried to have him cease his maddened rampage. And all of this was done after the woman Taelina was exiled -- this degenerate has shed innocents' bloodfor the sake of a woman only for that she shared a bed with him. He placed an object of lust over the lives he stole; he is crass and vile.

Sylmae's group, the Sceptres was founded ostensibly on the principles of teaching and encouraging the responsible use of magic in Myon for the good of all our people. In the past, she stood before the Black Archers and requested their sparing of a drow life for the sake of it being "studied." She stood with Clea, running in her stead with the group called the Crescent Arrow in intention for the exile's ascension to leadership. Months after her failure and subsequent disappearance, the city's magistrates had listed her estate for public sale. Inside was contained a case of scrolls holding hundreds upon hundreds of rites, rituals and treatises of how to animate, create, control or enstrengthen the living dead. I have never seen such a dark trove of such size in all my life -- and this was hidden inside Myon itself. Her mind is twisted to dark and fell ends.
As for Rivis the Shamed, he is called so for his exile from the city of Myon for his consortment with dark and vile things. He stood alongside the drow Halistyna and drew his blade upon his own people in defence of it, claiming that it had undertook vows to our God Corellon -- a clear impossibility, for a host of obvious reasons. After he had moved this creature to Cordor, widescale rioting resulted in the Walled City upon which fires and burnings resulted. After the Heartstone was stolen, he had proven still not capable of learning from his past mistakes. He gave aid to a tribe of kobolds from Andunor, calling themselves the Dustwrought who enslave folk and robbed Cordor's citizens of their wealth contained in bank vaults. He carries no remorse for this and endangers any decent person by his very presence alone.

I have spoken myself to Clea in the past. The very first time we spoke she said to me that many of those in Myon she hated and yet does hate. She has said to others in the past that she means to conquer Myon by whatever means necessary -- and to my face, confronted, told me a great lie that she has never said such a thing. Yet again and again to the face of others she says this. I have been lied to and made a fool of in the past, but no longer.
It is known now the attempt of the former Shield Astray Maturor made on the life of the Coronal. It is clear that this attempt would never have been made, never have been considered were it not for the lies and the malevolent things said and repeated so oft by Clea and her followers. Her heart is a toxic spring that has flowed with constant force until it has poisoned all things in its vicinity. I will no longer suffer it, and neither will the city of Myon.
She is vyshaan: power-mad, corrupt and beyond salvation. To pen those words is an act of sorrow, but to abstain from doing so would be an act of injustice.
