Morrigan Reinhart (Statue)

From Encyclopedia Arelithica 3.0

The sculpture depicts a woman in the formal military attire of House Eldren. Her sharp, keen eyes are meticulously carved, capturing her regard for the world in that mixture of pinpoint focus and faint disappointment that defined her character.

The statue captures the woman's practical nature, as she is depicted wearing a no-nonsense uniform with little adornment. The folds and creases in the fabric are intricately chiseled, giving a sense of texture and movement to the otherwise rigid statue. The woman's long, braided hair is also beautifully rendered, cascading down her back and adding a sense of motion to the otherwise still sculpture. The steel visor that often obscured her face is also present, giving the statue an added layer of authenticity and accuracy. One of her gauntlets, carved to be larger and thicker than the other, is an intentional detail meant to reflect the unique and personalized symbol of faith the priestess often displayed. A thick, black varnish painted on the gauntlet stands out starkly against the pale stone, adding a touch of menace to the otherwise dignified statue. Dangling from an iron ring set in her stone belt is a simple sceptre of Blacked Steel, its design suggesting both practical use and a mark of station.

The shield before the statue bears an inscription: "In memorial of Morrigan Reinhart, Black Sceptre of the House Eldren, whose unwavering devotion guided the family as Abbess of the Faith. May her legacy endure past her death at the hands of Cordor's Government, 179 AR."
