Monument to Sibayad (Statue)

From Encyclopedia Arelithica 3.0

A massive single block of granite makes the base of this monument. Atop it are three individuals:

A slave, wearing a loincloth and collar is upon his knees, supporting the firebowl upon his back. His face is one of submission, eyes downcast.

A merchant in fine clothing stands to one side of the slave, his flowing robes loose in the heat. He holds in one hand a set of scales, while the other hand supports the firebowl, little more than just holding a hand against it.

Opposite the merchant is a woman in form fitting clothing. Her hair hangs freely, billowing as if a soft breeze is blowing it. She has a seductive smile, and holds one hand out as if beckoning, while the other hand rests against the Firebowl.

The front of the base of the monument is engraved in relief (that is to say that voids are carved in, making the figures stand out). It shows a sprawling market, many awnings and tents scattered about with tables laden with all sorts of wares filling every space possible.

In one corner, there seems to be some sort of Lord from a far away place, wearing heavy clothing, little beads of sweat running down his face, and the faces of his retainers behind him. Opposite him is a beautiful woman wearing light, tight fitting clothing. She sits with her legs crossed, a teacup in hand, completely at ease. At her feet kneels an elven woman, a collared slave, her eyes focused on the ground with her hood hiding most of her features. Behind the seated woman stands an impressively tall woman, wearing armor, but still at ease, arms folded in front of her. Next to her is a woman in light clothing, a maids outfit with glasses, holding a tray with a teapot and a few extra teacups.

The market sprawls from there, with merchants holding up their wares, shouting out different things. Nearby a merchant holding up magic scrolls stands a beautiful woman, carved elegantly, holding a staff atop which a skull stands. Her hair hangs neatly behind her, and her clothing is form fitting, leaving little to the imagination. She seems to be haggling for the scrolls.

Next to this, a Kobold seems to be tip toeing to look at some potions on a table, its eyes lit up with desire. Over a ways from it, a group of Drow are walking through the market, a Mistress in front with a whip and a pair of males behind her, submissive.

The entire scene seems to be chaos, with little organization, but everything is at the same time neat and orderly, people conducting their business with no interference.

The background of this market scene is a dock, with multiple large ships unloading their goods.

In large, all uppercase letters, above the whole scene reads: "ALL COIN IS VALID. SAND AND PROFIT"

In the bottom corner is a hare, its ears upright, with a bow and arrow lying at its feet.‏‎
