Letter of Concern for the Merchange Leauge Re- Vampire Lucretia

From Encyclopedia Arelithica 3.0

Honoured Merchant League

Greetings to you, and may many fortunes find you.

I write to you on a most concerning situation. The new and first Vizier has chosen a notorious Vampire known as Lucretia to be her advisor. Giving her a position in her new government. Further more there are rumours that she seeks residence within your fair township, if she does not do so already.

Glorious Merchant League, I respect and understand the desire for free commerce within Sibayad, and know the chasms that the coin can bridge. But to allow a Vampire to shop and wander your streets is one thing however to live here, and have a say governing your people? Surely that is quite another!

In previous years I recall that the vampire Bell'rose also sought refuge within your blessed lands and was removed. Should not the same also be true for this creature? Certainly having the ear of the new Vizier herself is more worrisome even than residency in your lands, in my humble opinion.

Gracious Merchant League, I am a Vampire Investigator and also the Trade Minister for the fair city of Guldorand. Whilst this Undead monstrosity resides within your civic Government, I cannot in good conscience endorse trade with or within your town, and must warn others against the same. For to merely enter it is to possibly come within the power and sway of an undead creature who desires nothing more than to consume and devour all who cross her path, and my position is likely mild compared to some! For this creature is known for murder and kidnap in both Guldorand and Cordor and indeed having played a part in the death of the last Cordorian Chancellor! Should her presence and position be deemed allowable by yourselves, then be warned, for I've no doubt politics, possibly violent politics, between settlments will follow.

Esteemed and sagacious Merchant League, I implore you to speak to your newly appointed Vizier and have her remove this creature from her retinue, and ideally from these lands. To invite a Vampire into your home courts disaster.

I anticipate your response with your decision on this matter with baited breath.

Yours in Service
