Letter from The Chancellor

From Encyclopedia Arelithica 3.0

Hello Cordor,

As of today, I am tendering my resignation from the chancellorship. I have felt overburdened by the role of late, and unable to continue occupying it in an effective manner. I would like to go take a vacation back in my homeland, Damara.

For the past few months many have not seen much of me, and this is because I had a bounty of five million coins on my head. I have taken all the necessary precautions I could, remaining in the barracks at most times.

I would like to thank those who have helped me throughout my life, and in my typical fashion I will simply list their names for efficiency. Osric, Siegfried, Baldur, Asteria, Khara'gos, Drakonus, Thomas, Arthur, Zalata, Kenneth, Alistor, Salvador, Gabriel, Ginny, Albet, Abigail, Galliard, Alastair, Keela, Katheryne, Niffaniel, Aldric, Alastair, and Alis. I owe you all a debt of gratitude. I'm sure I am missing names here, but I appreciate everyone I have worked alongside in an effort to have Cordor, and Arelith prevail.

When I think back on the fondest of memories, I will think about smoking on the roof of Darrowdeep with Osric as we discussed the latest upset in the

House of Vigilance, I will think on the opportunity I had to bless prince Sebastian of Cordor in the palace, on Asteria constantly trying to convince me to get a dog, but not understanding that a shark is not a dog, and on sitting down with Lord Khara'gos and receiving advice. There are many more memories but I am already failing to be succinct.

In my exit, the spot opens for a new chancellor. May the elections be spirited, and may someone with a good head on their shoulders win. My personal support is for Alistor Sanctiford, who wishes to go forth and vanquish the various evils and threats of Arelith. May he succeed, or burn to ash in his failure as Kossuth wills it.

With that all said, I will not be gone from Arelith forever, for those who might be worried this is the case. I will remain a time to see who wins the elections as well, before I set sail.

May Cordor prevail eternally, and may the enemies of this island; of our peace and security, be brought to complete annihilation.

Sincerely,
Chancellor Adimien Crane
