King Battlehammer's Journal: Decoded

If you are reading this journal, it means I have failed to return to our homeland with the lost crown. For months I have fought my way through Duergar patrols and searched every crevice for a clue to the elusive crown.

With this journal I leave a memory stone. When carried by a diviner into the Halls they will relive the moments I have stored into the stone, so they may follow the path I have started. The word to call upon the stone is *Honor* along with the spell clairaudience/clairvoyance.

At first, my fear was that the crown was destroyed, dismantled. But I have narrowed it to three locations: A beholders nest, where a former Kings life was lost when surveying the deep lands, a secret vault in the throne room and the pits beneath the throne room.

The vault will have several symbols, one of our own people, another of theirs, another a mindflayer, a hammer, the sun, and the moon. I have searched for texts alluding to their meaning, but the library is well fortified and filled with many unrelated books, it is like finding a needle in a haystack. Even

I have narrowed it down to a few possible tomes:

The Origin of the Grey Ones, the Abandonment of Moradin, and Ladugeur's Salvation Commandments. They make mention of some or all of the symbols,

and I am working on determining order.

I go to the vault now. For those who find this tome, sons of Moradin, glory to Brogendenstein! Glory to your bravery! I regret only not being a better king. May the memory stone guide you.
