[01 AR] Foundation of the Heartwood Grove
Founding of the druid Grove in Arelith Forest

[10 AR]
Throughout the reign of Arch Druidess Dacey Calhopun, the Grove maintained absolute neutrality concerning the politics of the island's various factions.

[14 AR]
After Colav Arnisen, Dacey Calhoun is elected archdruid of the Grove. During his tenure, the Grove was attacked during the Third Sharran War.

[17 AR] The Grove Enters the Third Sharran War
The Sharran’s of the Black Citadel launch a surprise attack against the Heartwood Grove, killing Clarissa and the forest dryads. The Grove under the leadership of Archdruid Wilm, which had taken a neutral stance in the war, formally joins the conflict.

[50 AR] Underdark Grove Attack
The kobold warlock Vippin unites the forces of Bane, Urblexis Grond, and Udos Dro'Xun to launch an attack on the Heartwood Grove to either conquer or destroy. Under the Archdruidess Sarah Sanders, the assault is repulsed with the help of Light Keep, Myon, and the Arcane Tower. Though unsuccessful, the battle displays the kobold's skill at uniting unlikely forces to achieve a common goal.

[58 AR] The Cull
The Talonian faction within the Heartwood Grove made a blight and unleashed it on Cordor in an effort to "Cull" its population. The plague manifested itself in the form of diseased cloth items and carrier vermin. The plague would eventually be countered.

[60 AR]
Anenden the Archdruid passes away and Evelynyha Verawyn is elected the new Archdruid of the Grove.

[88 AR]
Navira ended her first tenure as Archdruid to return to the mainland, but not before being introduced to Kregor who was a squire to the Knight Sir Caelyn of the Broken Circle, which was itself a homage to the Forsworn.

[89 AR]
Yana (Mother Bear) becomes Archdruidess, until the coup attempt by Cassima in 94 AR.

[94 AR] Grove Coup
Cassima attempted a coup of the Grove during the Underdarks Flood Crisis of which she sought to take advantage by citing the Heartwood inaction in regards to the event. Initially she approached the Bramble Watch as likely allies, but their leader Kregor rejected her proposition. Cassima instead counted upon her known allies in the power grab, the Malarite Tamarie and the Black Archer Asherrin La'farra. In a reign that lasted two tendays, she declared herself Archdruid during her so-called moot, and spilled the blood of a dissenter to her claim. However, the Bramble Watch and Heartwood factions convened a second moot to officially name a new Archdruid. While Mila was the initial pick of Yana as an appointment to the position, the resounding voice from the Bramble Watch called for Navira to reclaim the mantle. Thus, she was named and Yana officially stepped down from the title. Cassima was conspicuously absent from the moot with rumors spreading that she had met an untimely end at the hand of some unknown circumstance. The truth, as is often the case, is lost to time.

[106 AR] Drow Occupation
In the year 106 AR, the drow Wicket Witherdusk and her allies managed to secure a lair within the Heartwood Grove, taking control of its small temple. After a united effort from the island's druids, the drow were eventually forced out and the Grove returned to the hands of the forret people.

[140 AR] Grove Revival
The Heartwood Grove experienced a revival in 140 AR with the election of Lilah Lannald as Archdruid, a rise supported by Bendir's mayor, Meriam Fuzzypaw. Her appointment was opposed by the gnome Wotan Woodberry, who objected to Lilah's belief that monstrous nature-walkers should be permitted access to the Grove.

Within months of her ascension, the first nature-walkers from the Underdark's Zurkhwood Grove arrived, led by the drow druid Kalyin and his human lover/mate, Vance Gravelle. These visits often created tension between the two circles, though the Underdarkers consistently took pains to remain cordial.

[140 AR] The Grove Accord
An accord was forged between Kalyin, Keeper of the Zurkhwood Grove, and Lilah Lannald, Archdruid of the Heartwood Grove. The agreement permitted Underdark nature-walkers to travel freely and safely upon the Surface, with members of the Grove assigned to guide and protect them from harm. In return, the same assurances were extended to surface druids, granting them safe passage through the Underdark while in the company of nature-walker monsters.

[140 AR] The Feast of the Stags
Archdruid Lilah Lannald granted permission for two Malarite hunters to hold a religious feast within the Heartwood, a sacred rite involving the ritual killing and carving of a hunted deer. The event was attended by druids of the Heartwood Grove as well as a large gathering of Underdarkers.

The feast was later widely regarded as a spectacular failure and became a lasting blemish upon the Archdruid's reputation.

[140 AR] Revolt
Unable to restrain his anger over the involvement of the Underdark's Zurkhwood Grove in Heartwood affairs, Beryl Whitestorm reached out to Wotan Woodberry, commander of the Hawk'in, as well as Myon's Sentinels under the leadership of the paladin Kerri. With their backing, a moot of the Heartwood Grove was convened to demand the Archdruid's resignation. Under mounting pressure from surface settlement leaders, the Radiant Heart, and fellow druids, Lilah Lannald was ultimately persuaded by her mate, Vaethendril, to step down. The pair departed the Grove entirely. Beryl Whitestorm was subsequently elected Archdruid, and his first act was to bar all Underdarkers from both the Grove and the Arelith Forest, thus ending the Grove Accord.

[176 AR] Grove's Corruption
After reaching the Grove's Heartstone through a portal, The criminal organization known as The Syndicate temporarily corrupted it with the black blood of undeath, a willing sacrifice, and twisted necromantic magic.

[176 AR] Destruction of Heartwood Archive
The entirety of the Heartwood Grove's written archive was stolen by a Myon elf, Makaela Qilvyr, and transferred to the elven city's own library under the care of Lorekeeper Vaeryll. Efforts by the Grove and the Skull Crags Rangers to recover the works through diplomacy proved unsuccessful. Tensions reached their breaking point in 177 AR when a Myon Black Archer, Arathil, entered the Logjam in Westcliff and killed five people. Shortly thereafter, another Myon elf, Siltrin Salaal, posted notices on every public message board, declaring that he had destroyed the entire Heartwood Archive and that this was the final fate of its precious volumes. With this act, the written history of the Grove was lost, never to be recovered.
