From the desk of the new Chancellor:
Greetings citizens of Cordor. Today I come to you as your new chancellor. Public service is a great honour and I thank each and every one of you, not just for voting for me, but for participating lawfully in our democratic system of government.
I would like to thank my running mates and additional praise should go to them as they did not allow the election to trend into personal attacks (for the most part, anyway). To start, I have suspended the current government, not for any reason other than there have been many layers of bureaucracy that have been added over the years and it will be easier to start anew.
There were many things I stated during the election and now it is time to start putting those words into action; words mean nothing if not back by action. To start, I will be holding a meeting of citizens of Cordor later this tenday. ((Aug 10, 2100 PST))
I will further outline my approach over the next month and leave you all with a chance to ask any questions. As of yet, I have not settled on any Minister position and would appreciate any who have interest in public service (including those in the previous government) to speak with me after the meeting (or in the upcoming month if they cannot attend).
Eye open, Cordor.
