The Elven race is one of great history and intrigue as their lore and legends span all across the realm. Even among several planes, the elven race has reputation of varying degrees. Aside from their wonders in magic and crafting, they have another unique feature. Their Ears are a trait that mark them obviously aside that most of their visual build is rather similar to that of several human variations.

To note immediately, Human ears have varying degrees of flexibility from completely unmovable to very flexible movements. Thus Half Elves have that range which made them difficult to set as a control point for a wider study, so I focused on Pure Blooded Elves.

Several friends and allies have volunteered to be researched, in a safe manner, as to gain the knowledge needed to display this Thesis as a proper piece of researched text. 3 Females of Elven youth, 2 Males of Elven youth, and 2 Half Elves for counter points and similarities.

I used a measuring system from 1 to 10 in measuring human hearing. When this was tested on Elven hearing, the scale in relation would reach 16. This means they have nearly double the hearing of the average human with good hearing. Elven can speak with higher pitches to accommodate the range of sound as well.

I will begin with noting physical experiments:
* Poking with soft matter causes slight twitching, but when poked with shaper objects, the ears motioned to escape the unpleasant sensation.
* Poking the tip of an ear causes flinching, but when done by a trusted or favored person, it inspired pleasure.
* Pulling on an ear causes a curious physical reaction which resulted in its self defense by slapping my hand.

* Gently Blowing on an ear causes comfort of relaxation or pleasure from a fond one.
* Applying Warmth makes the ear flick gently as if being gently touched or rubbed.
* Applying Cold makes the ear retreat against the head for warmth.
* Static shock causes a flurry of elven curse word, and pain.
* Ear massages are a curious reaction that streams between utter relaxation, purring, amorous behavior and other peaceful feelings.

The next series will apply to sound and distortions:
* Ears twitch and attempt to gather information when in anticipation.
* Ears may detect distortion of air space by other ear wiggles within 10 feet.
* Density of an ear and flexibility mastery can adjust distortions released.
* Different languages seem to produce reactions as well which vary depending on the softness of the language versus the intensity of the pitches and harshness.
* Blowing around an ear causes minor twitching to the ear at ranges up to 10 feet.

These reactions can also be used to communicate as distortions in close range, about 5 to 10 feet, and can vary depending on intensity of an ear flick. Range matters not if visual ear communication is used. This could be translated to perhaps a Cant speak between familiar groups or associates. While this is still more so a theory, small instances have been noted between a friend of a subject tested on.
