I have just paid our dear long-time "neighbors" a visit to their "out-of-town" "residence".

And...

Well, it's hard to believe what I found.

It is obviously too early (and dangerous) to draw any conclusions

but

I can only say it's definitely not what one would expect...

It's not |REDACTED|, neither I found any |REDACTED|, there were no trace of |REDACTED|either.

It was.. almost whimsically comical what they hide behind those warded gates, it's truly hard to believe.

A note, left by some marginally literate creature, a goblin by all accounts, proclaiming proudly "I wuz here" or a corny joke of a horrendous paternal humor.

[Deep Speech]: Stars damn it, [Xanalress]:  it is some sort of humiliation!

*A line when a sentence is written, then stricken out and rewritten, then stricken out again **

It dawns on me that we have gravely underestimated our "peers".

They are on a whole other level,

they are THAT good at keeping their morbid secrets,

at concealing their true forces,

at obscuring the source of their power.

They, almost openly, mock whoever manages to breach their defenses, frustrating them with a quagmire of insignificancies...

Or... could it be a cypher?

Either way there were still several doors I could not enter, so it would seem we would have to risk again.

However, I do not return empty handed.

I noticed that they were trying to |REDACTED|some |REDACTED|.

Sifting through remains I found a fragment that had partially survived the incineration - written in |REDACTED|it discussed things that would be rather outrageous (for the |REDACTED|), as well as, contained what I recognized to be a |REDACTED|craft manual.

Could it be they are/were actually preparing a |REDACTED| against their |REDACTED|?

This may be important/useful,

although

I can only hope we will never need to actually use this information.

They are, beyond any doubt now, even more dangerous than previously expected.

We should step our game up.

Don't let your guard down.
