GENE
GENE the Golem will be staying in Brogendenstein as a favor to the Lantanese Ambassador Naut. The project was headed by Rabikus Mikrael.
They created GENE as a balance to the engineering marvels they normally produce.
Gene is Sentient. He can learn. He runs on the power of a heartstone.
GENE is intended to be used for natural observations on the environment, flora and fauna. Gene is NOT intended for combat.
We are to report to Naut if GENE malfunctions or is damaged.
Gorrat and Grimnar will have GENE's token.
There was some discussion whether or not this GENE has a soul.
> Flicker Twigwhistle said he was made with not only metal and enchantments but embued with some power in charge of care-taking.
> Lady Fruvularna shared ideals from the Wonderbringer that say life is magical. She trusts in the Lantanese and Gondsmen in what they do.
> Cor Mire-Thistle, priest of Silvanus, shared his thoughts. He said golems are made by binding an elemental or spirit to a metal or stone body, thus giving it life. He wonders if the Gondsmen found a way to allow the spirit to express its thoughts in this GENE.
> Sonnlinor Grimnar Ironweaver share that by creating this GENE, they are emulating the sacred act of creation by Moradin. He thinks Moradin may view GENE throught he lens of the intent of its makers. In other words, Moradin may look kindly if the intent was to treat it as a person, but condemn it if the intent was to use it as a slave or tool.
> Mistiaraethilin asked if GENE were to steal, assault, or break things would he or Naut be held accountable.
SOME ANSWERS
> Thane Troki asked for patience as the answers will not come in a day. He said both Headmaster Glimmerspark and Rock-Keeper Flicker state the intent was embedded in nature and learning.
> Thane Troki also shared that GENE appears to be self sustaining and does not require anything from us.
> GENE will not go out to obtain samples, but will learn from those brought to him.
> GENE is not capable of stealing, assaulting or breaking things independently. Naut will be held responnsible if such occurs.

A discussion was held about latest intelligence and concerns about defending the various routes that the orcs might attack.
> Building more walls and baliistae is probably too timecosuming and expensive
> Patrols need to be set up to keep scouring the land for sightings of Korthal's army.

> Thane Troki mentioned the Orc encampment in the Crystal Caves as being near to the Great Grotto. Troki will send a number of ballistae and bombards to the village for defense.
> If Korthal mustered them all at once, Bendir, the Grotto and Brogendenstein could be hit all at once.
> Odan reminded everyone to try an dcapture any orcish leaders to see if they have any notes on them. Try to get their names for scrying.
> Cor noted that the village traders should offere good rope for capturing the orc commanders.
