The Ragged Banner Affair (pt2)
by Seril Di'rel'fir
The feather of the Deva, who apprecieated our plight was affixed to the arrow of an elven archer. The Power that held the cloak called itself the Prophet. The Prophet was found, ultimately in Glorag Mur. After much battle the arrow with the feather eventually struck true, after which the Prophet was swiftly slain.
At this, the assembled forces of diverse Fiends became quarrelsome and were scattered without direction. When we found the remnants of the army at Fort Siveria, we discovered the defending forces fallen, though not before slaying hundreds of foes, dragons goblins and orcs.
Three of Guldorand and two of Myon aided the island that day, and this is the glimpse that I remember. To wit, often times the obstacles we face are greater than the obstacles we place in front of one another.

A Glimpse into the Ragged Banner Affair
by Seril Di'rel'fir
Twas a warning from Daedin to save his people and for Myon, that lead us to an ancient Watcher, the Watcher of the Lake.
The banner is gone, indeed. It was an ancient cloak known as The Fiend's Embrace, and it is no more. Thanks to our protector Daedin, who warned us of the magnitude of the impending doom, we may ever remember our ancestors. The ancient silver dragon, known as the Watcher of the Lake, revealed to us the source of the power, that with the banner held a diverse assortment of fiends in its sway.
They were attacking persistently and the Watcher reported that the armies yet unleashed had not been met in measure since the fall of Minmir. The Watcher saw that the feather of a Deva, willingly given, could destroy the cloak. Along with companions from Myon and Guldorand including the capable mayor Mayrren di Dolce Marea, a feather of a Deva, who recognized the plight, was attached to an arrow

a drinking song by Seril Di'rel'fer, the singing ghost
*to be sung with a steady beat and a rousing chorus, by all present*
Chorus: "Hey ho, hale, hearty and sound / Bottoms go up, and the Drinks they go down. / Hey ho, hale, hearty and sound, / Pass us the Bottle and Buy us a round! " v1. Beer and Ale, Sprits and Wine, / We drink til we're happy and some til their blind! / Beer, Ale, Spirits and Wine / A bit of a buzz is your friend and mine. / (repeat chorus)

So lay down your coin and drink to your life / celebrate victory, drink away strife. / We serve with a smile, / what drinks make you glad / at this Tavern of Tavern's, the beloved Nomad. Long Bending Road
It is AR 128. By the old reckoning, I remember the years 142, and so when the Calandar reckoning came the dates changed. Confusing, I know, but I also remember by the old reckoning, arriving some time around the year 42. Therefore I may have been on this island close to two hundred years. I truly lose track of the time here.
I find myself now having angered Corellon, or perhaps I begged Corellon, and am in a much diminished state as pertains to my songs and my skills. I should thank the Father for this, and indeed I do, for now I will be able to hone my skills to better serve the Seldarine, and to find a path following the Fey Jester Erevan Illesar.
I have reaquanted with Myon. Brother Nicodeamus is still about, but otherwise the only remnants of the older days are the statues and artworks around Myon. The place is much the same, if not more vital than ever. Numerous times I have heeded the call of an underdark raid (well, perhaps a handful of times) and a large contingent of kindred, allied with dwarves, and the hin of Bendir as well.
I have taken up residence in the much rennovated Social Club in Cordor, and have a little shop below. For now I am placing in simple useful trinkets and potions, very affordable for the adventurer just starting out. I have little need of coin presently, and so I am trying to generate some traffic by keeping the shop consistently supplied. Eventually I will craft my bardic wands, and perhaps clothes.

Elections pt 2
He then demanded Burrowhome's vassalage. Again, I refused. That meeting was not a good one. He threatened war and insulted me in my own home. Now the issue of the Banites has arisen. Many will say the Banites attacked a dwarven delegation visiting Guld. I ask everyone to seek out the facts. Listen to both sides and decide for yourself what really occurred. Seek out those who were there.
I ask everyone to speak to Liira. She was the one who was taken hostage during the ordeal. Speak to Gilgamesh. Speak to Silver, as he is the one who was slain. Get other names from them and speak to them as well. Speak to the dwarves, hear their side. Don't make a decision based on public opinion. Form your own and do what you think is best.
I will run in this election. If I win, I will keep close eye on Guld but I am not going to kick them out based solely on what some of their faith have previously done. I believe everyone deserves their own chance. If I lose, then I thank you for the time you allowed me to be your mayor and pray the time of peace we enjoyed during those years is not forgotten.
I wish everyone safe travels and remind you all to love freely. *a small badger is drawn at the bottom and little shiny flecks sparkle around the animal*

History: Elections pt 1
Its been my honor to serve as mayor for several years. Recently, elections have been called as is the right of any fort citizen. Words have been posted attempting to defame me and smear mud on my name. I do not post this message to fight back or sling mud at those who run against me. This message is to make a few things known so the voting populace have knowledge they might not have had before.
During my time here, there has not been strife or war. I am a follower of Sheela, the mediator for the gods, and do not enjoy either of those things. I believe in treating each person as a person and not judging them on actions they did not commit. It is being said that the dwarves are entitled to the fort's support due to an alliance. I say, Gar destroyed that alliance early in my time here.
The alliance was called upon when the Zhents from the mainland invaded our isle. A dwarf was taken prisoner. We came to their aid. I witnessed Gar negotiate the dwarf's freedom in exchange for diamonds. Additionally, in exchange for the Zhents leaving their quarry, they agreed to not interfere as the hostage taking and terrorizing of other settlements continued. Including Burrowhome.
We were the next settlement threatened, luckily the threat was ended by some Cordorians a day before the Burrowhome faire, which was to be attacked, happened. Some time later an Ironsorn, as an official of Brog, came to visit. He demanded Guld. Claiming an agreement made years before. After speaking to some who were around at the time and searching for written proof of this agreement, I refused.

Gareth Mikasi occassionally serves a contract with House Vira'san as a freelancer, as he did Xun'viir before them. He has correlated a list of known abolitionists and spread it throughout the Underdark:
Louis Hawklight, Zaida Zimraan, Kregor Boldheart, Catalin Snow, Anthony Greathouse, Neville Kneebreaker, Angela Amana, Ossian Crofter.
In addition, he has given House Vira'san the names and appearances of the entire Cordorian Guard and Council.
He has a spy in the Pathfinders, one whom is able to report in on the Bramble Woods, Forest of Myon and Fox Den. The entire member list and the just mentioned meeting areas are known.

Captain and Ambassador
I am again captain of the Troubador. For a time the elves lost ownership of her and she was in the possesion of a hin named Haffizz de Assade or something similar. They made some cosmetic changes, adding a fighting pit and an alrar, left a couple of skills in the chest in the captain's quarters, one of which belonged to a drow. I held on to that one, to remind me of the constant threat from below.
Coran Ari'anna Corabel has become a very close friend and confidant. I feel that the burden of leadership weighs most heavy, and I hope tolighten her spirit and her moods with our frequent chats over tea in her quarters. Her betrothed, my old friend, and dedicated Priest of Shevaresh Shalifil Dementhion, of course is as always near and dear to my heart. The First Knight of Myon Mithrim Ossear is also a cl i
...is also a close confidant and a true friend. He and his wife Sia have named me the Uncle or Godfather to their young son Daedin. I recently achieved total mastery over my song and my voice. Considering I spend the first dozen or so years of my life silent, it is truly an accomplishment. I can carry my voice and melodys for a great amount of time.
Greatly aiding my kindred and companions in what ever intention they have set their minds. I increasingly grow tired of the Goblin incursions into our territory, and indeed last night saw them bring down the First Knight. They seemed to swarm him, and largely left me alone, though as I tried to penetrate their defenses, I was nearly felled by a spell called Greater Ruin.

Northern Crossroads to Andunor
The map is divided in two parts it seems, the lower half in green tones, grass and trees drawn in intricate detail, a brown path winding through, until the top half seamlessly bleeds into brown and gray tones, entering what obviously seems to be a Cavern-System. From the
Northern Crossroads, the path leads two leagues north into a small but detailed rendering of the Nexus falls.Sprinkled with Aquamarine gemdust, the water sparkles life-like. On the North-East corner, a small arrow leads behind a fall. "Gnoll Merchant" is written by it.East
from there lies a bridge, notated "Minmir Bridge".On its northern-eastern edge a dot marks the "Minmir Caves".For three leagues, the path spirals, little arrows showing the way down until a lengthy winding path finally leads to the North-West."Crystal Path" is stylized
over a path leading from the Cavern-exit in a gentle diagonal southward, where a city gate denotes the end of the map, and the end of the paper. "The Sharps" is written on the meticulously copied gate. Gnolls are drawn in varying volatile postures alongside all paths.

Show them you are not cattle to be toyed with and herded. If Roland or Gil'thilak are ever seen again on the surface, show them that peoples' lives are not a game to be played with. They should be sent out, thrown out of any civilized settlement. /w Sent down below, to live with the other horrors and evil scum of the world. Stop them from walking where they please. Roland has been made a deal for his life, to fix one of his mistakes listed on this list. He is to never be seen again, to disappear.
Descriptions of the two as follows:
Roland Asen: A human, darker complexion, black, smooth hair. He wears purple and black, and carries a cane. Can usually be found talking down to others. A feminine build and facial structure.
Gil'thilak: A pale, raven-haired (moon?) elf. He too, wears black, and carries a mage's staff. He speaks as if he is very frustrated all the time.
Both are known to frequent Guldorand, Sencliff, Wharftown, and have had some apparent travels through the Underdark.

This isle, for a very long time, has been plagued by evil. All know this. Whether it be an infestation of goblins, shades, or zombies. But what few talk about, is Sencliff.
Sencliff is an island institute. A tower. It houses the Crows, an assassin group. It has always housed pirates, formerly led by the Umberlan priest Joron. And now, it has housed Gil'thilak and Roland Asen. Two of the most disgusting creatures to have graced this island.
Roland Asen and Gil'thilak have had no qualms with, and have actively participated in:
*Hiring of assassins against people working for the sake of defending others
*Implanting of necrotic cysts into others who have offended them
*Lobotomizing of a fifteen year old Halfling so they may have a pawn in their political corruption
*Further torment of victims by a specialized essence, named "Liquid Agony"
*Siphoning of the power of suffering from tainted places of misery to make "Liquid Agony"
*Buying out of elections so that they may continue to hold power
*Sacrificing of victims to Velsharoon
*Murder of Knights of the Roads individuals for differing ideals
*Creation of weapons of mass destruction
*Drugging of a paladin's loved one
*Spread of disease through the island's waterways
*Offending the Speedy Messenger Office and almost starting a riot, making isle-wide communication much more difficult
*Arrogance of assuming that whatever they have done can only be undone by them

Concerning the War, II
For background: Bendir, Wharftown, and Guldorand declared a 'Dominion' ruling over them. This was, naturally, just a political front for Sencliff. Roland and Gil'thilak were controlling the mayor Elanor Shortwick by magical means.
She was not acting under her own free will for any of this. They declared 'war' on Cordor- but this, too, was just another political front for their distate of Cordorians who worked for the good of the island, and subsequently against the Dominion.
Gil'thilak and Roland are to be exiled from civilization, actively hunted down, confronted, and/or slain when seen.

Concerning the War, I
This current war (Cordor v. Dominion) will soon be coming to an end. None of the parties are actually fighting. It was all the work of Sencliff's forces, using their political power to put forth declarations that meant nothing.
Gil'thilak and Roland Asen were the two leading figureheads behind this war. Gil'thilak became the mayor of Guldorand by buying out the voters, and appointed Roland as one of his officials.
These two men have done an extraordinary amount of crimes against humanity, and are now being ousted and actively hunted down. They used a declaration in name only to target Cordor, to try to put it under vassalage.

it, as if the whole cavern was under water. "To Ziggurat" is written on the path, and a pyramide, spiraling path follows the former straight lines, leading into the center of a marked area. "Temple of the Sea Mother" a marker reads, and a small arrow toward the area south

the Shipyard is marked. The western way leads over another league, Northward there, the Silvermines, Westward, a Gnoll Trading Camp is marked. Scattered about the map are dots denoting Granite and Malachite Deposits. One further league westward, then southward, an
area denoted "Screaming Banshee" is marked. Northward again, 2 leagues from there, then West, the path is marked as "To Glacial Caverns". Two leagues to the west, with a twisted path marked backtracking South, East, North, a small shrine is drawn with "Topaz Deposit"
written. Carefully drawn, the Banshee is an intricately drawn spirit,a pained, captured expression on her face, haunting at the same time as luring. Each deposit marker is colorfully depicted, drawn livelike as if one could just pluck the resources straight from the paper.

The Ragged Banner Affair
Some how I found my self involved in the closing of a chapter about this "Ragged Banner." Sar'lin brought me into curiosity, and I found myself transported to Guldorand by the mayor...I can't remember her name, a human withy a Cormyrian accent perhaps. She and her archer companions followed the trail of the
"Prophet" whom kindred and I had heard of in encountering a Blue Tome inside Minmir Manor. It was a trapped Lich, and it warned of this Prophet. Previously Daedin had come to us, his spirit anyway, and warned us that this Ragged Banner was a force unlike anything that had been seen since Minmir was destroyed. It told us to seek the Watcher.
The watcher turned out to be an ancient Silver Dragon, that resides beneath the waters near Nexus Falls. It told us of this Prophet, who was in possession of a Cloak, the Fiend's Embrace, a cloak of an old witch of Minmir Manor. This prophet had possession of the cloak, and this gave him power to unite the diverse members of the Ragged Banner.
In the end we tracked this Prophet to the caves where the Golems are made, Glogaur...something like that. There were Goblins present...honestly I thought them to possibly be of the Ooogooboogoo clan. We slew them, and the Prophet and destroyed the cloak by touching it with the feather of a Celestial, willingly given. (The archers had attached it to an arrow, and arrow that cannot miss).

We agree to exchange the ownership to the other part every two years ((6RL months)), the first ownership belongs to the dwarves of Brogendenstein. After each period, the current holder will perform any reparations that the ship requires before transfering it in the best possible condition.
If on the first period of ownership of each part the boat is lost due to neglect of maintenance, the one who lost it, pays the other part their share of the coin. Both parts will have access to the ship on any period of ownership and will provide the keys for it that the other part asks for.
Keys for all goodly folk that each part considers deserving will be handed out by such. The ship will be docked at Brogendenstein pier when not in use, in any period of ownership. For Brogendenstein, Toyam Alaleche. For Myon, Coran Ari'anna Corbael.
