A statement to Arelith regarding the Attack on Cordor

From Encyclopedia Arelithica 3.0

People of Arelith,

I would like to have it known that despite whatever "noble" intentions Saorlaith's band had, their band have ultimately shown no regard for the laws of the land or, worse, the lives of the innocent.

By deciding to form a large war party, assembling outside the gates of Cordor and then attacking the city, Saorlaith had ultimately decided that the life of the White Stag was worth more than that of the guards, servicemen and others present in the city.

I am not satisfied with this "trade" they had decided. Let us not forget that Saorlaith's attack has resulted in the death of some of Cordor's citizens and guards, notably Lucina Bridges, a lieutenant in the Royal Navy.

Her young life was taken because Saorlaith and the others could not have waited a matter of hours. The Stag had already been healed prior to the attack and spoken to by Lady Albet. The process was in motion.

What if the Royal Cavalry had not been able to fully prevent their assault? Was their plan to simply slaughter their way into the Derlson Estate to free the Stag by force and damn anyone who got in their way? To kill the innocent men and women simply doing their duty against a besieging force of hostile animals and elementals?

Saorlaith and the Greenseers are belligerent and only seek to mask their rampages with the guise of noble intentions. I have recieved trusted statements that paint them as quick to anger and reckless in their actions in the past, so eager to find a reason to kill. This is not their first time.

They desperately paint the walls with their propaganda to try and frame their actions as for the greater good, but how can their actions be seen as anything less than criminal and warlike? They have brought destruction and death to Cordor and they want all to believe they are just? Do we, as communities on Arelith, condone this sort of dangerous, reckless, lawless behavior?

I shall also add this, Greenseers. Do not think you have gone unwatched. The way that you speak of Cordor and it's people behind your closed doors is sickening and disrepectful. The whispering about this city, it's people, nobles and the dead (even during negotiations) is truly disgusting and I hope that you can learn some basic manners if you wish to be taken seriously at any negotiating table in the future.

Turn yourselves in for your actions. if you truly believe yourselves to be in the right, then submit yourself to judgement in Cordor's court for the damage you have caused and the lives you have taken. The Stag is free, but those you have murdered are still gone. Take responsibility.
