A biography of Colt, the smith in Cordor
By most accounts, Colt could be though of as the most common of common men. He owned Colt's Weapons and Armor by the bank in Cordor for who knows how many years.
A private man, few knew what Colt's experience was really like. While perfectly well spoken and intelligent, Colt lived his life with a severe difficulty in holding conversation, due to chronic pain, from what is assumed to be an old battle injury.
I got to know Colt personally and once I learned to be patient and give him 5 minutes to talk, he was a great person. But, I learned that my patience with him was rare, and that I was one of the very few that he ever spoke with.
Colt never got to see the great mysteries and places of Arelith. He hardly went past blood moon cavern due to the fact that he could not communicate fast enough to keep up in the necessary conversations that happen while adventuring.
Colt told me once that he made 30 million dollars at his shop. Never went to red dragon island. Never went to the orc citadel. No ventures into the deep. Just by raiding the local orcs and selling good for 25 gold a workunit.
His equipment spoke for itself. Imagine good equipment, then go higher. Everything Adamantium, runed. masterly damask bastard sword with divine essence, runed keen. Everything the best. Without ever leaving mainland Arelith.
He was a good dude and not enough people were patient enough to get to know him.
Colt was my friend. I don't think very many people can say that and it's shame.
