A Folded Sketch in Charcoal (Drawing)
The page is mostly dark, shaded in deeply save for a solitary face, drawn in from halfway up the neck. Black tendrils of wild hair obscure some features, but high cheekbones and an angular brow are clear, but the instead of eyes there is only unknowable shadow.
The proportions of the face seem slightly distorted, almost abstract, but the tone of it is clearly predatory. The subject is a woman, likely middle aged by the structure of her bones, as she's slightly turned to look down at the viewer as if holding some dark intent.
Her lips, chin, nose, and cheeks seem to be the most clearly defined features, but they hold almost no expression; as if held in stasis. Someone familiar with Anastasia's face might recognize it as her, but the artist's trepidation of the subject is clear in the portrayal of her visage.
While it is something of a portrait, it seems to be less a rendition of the subject's looks, and moreso the emotions the subject seems to have evoked from the artist. One can't help but feel as prey, with the empty, dark gaze of the Vampire's portrait staring down at them.
