Guards killing innocents continues!

It is on the lips of those brave enough to think for themselves. Brave enough to question the misuse of the "power" of authority. Those who plainly see, yet are not ignorant enough to completely ignore true injustices.

The Cordor city "guard" have been known for a while, a few members in particular more than others, to bully, beat, and rob innocents in the streets. Without provocation, without just cause. But What cause be good enough to murder those who've merely set foot within the city less than a few hours? What cause good enough to beat and murder those who have resided quite some time, but avoided the childish mess this city calls "politics"?

I write this letter now, so that the world may know, that the people will not take this abuse of "power" much longer. I myself have seen the writings and falsified reports. I myself have seen terrifying folk gathering in less trodden paths, I have heard and seen the plotting not just for vengence for those wronged, but for a forceful dismantling, and remaking of the so called "gauard".

Let it be known, that while I intend to remain anonymous, I have no stake in this cities politics. I have not been here long enougn to care. But I have a stake in what matters to a few of us, and should matter to all of us: The words, and desires of the common people.

Already, there are a number of those actively avoiding Cordor simply to avoid conflict with the guard. Already, you will only come to see the same few faces within the same areas. Those willing to suckle to the guards corruption, and ego. And the people have had enough. Thier numbers arw growing with every single unprovoked attack.

Every. Single. Attack.

I hope this letter finds you well. And I hope a closer eye is kept on the guard. As newer members of the guard ard taught this is the way things are meant to be, and another unprovoked attack upon an innocent sets yet another civilian astray, the divide grows larger, frighteningly quickly. And may lead to an outright uprising if what I have been hearing is correct.

If you are one such person who feels the treasure-lust, then you might be excited to learn that Riza Beoluve will soon be hosting a Treasure Hunt right here in Cordor!

A Dragon Battle in Cordor!

Only a few moments before the publishing of this article, Cordor became the front for a battle between dragons!

Fire descended from the sky, damaging the Government and Mechant's buildings in the Government District. With a pained screech, a glittering form descended as an injured Gold Dragon crashed into the cobblestones of Cordor's Square.

Above it circled three great Black Dragons, that eventually swooped to finish the creature off. They were intercepted by a dozen or so Cordor volunteers that immediately drew blade, bow, and spell, and defeated the evil creatures.

Selflessly, they leapt to the defence of the Gold, and after a fast and deadly battle, the three Black wyrms lay dead while the Gold was nursed back to good health. As way of thanks, it used its breath to put out the fires. Local spellcasters made use of summoned Earth Elementals to shift the rubble of the battle, and repair the destruction that occured.

It's times like these that make me proud to be Cordorian, dear reader! A valiant group of volunteers that leapt to defend their city without a moment's consideration or pause! Truly this is testament to what we can do when unified as one people.

Long live Cordor! Long live the King! Long live the People!

One Down, Two to Go!

It's been reported to us at the Press that the leader of the Stag side of the Cult we mentioned in our previous article, of the Stag-Badger-Wolf Cults, has met with Cordorian Justice!

A long and violent naval battle occured off the coasts of Arelith, involving the Leviathan and the Cordorian Guard, Navy, and volunteers, the Merchant Navy, and the Rivorndir Wardens. The ship was used by the Cult after being siezed in a mutiny, and used as a base of operations and cargo vessel.

Another battle occured in temple of illusions and mists near the Yuan-Ti Mound near the jungle coast. A team of Cordorian Guards, Navy, Rivorndir Wardens, and other volunteers delved into the dark tunnels to root the Cult from their lair. With their backs to the wall, the Stag made an attempt to recruit our valiant heroes to their cause, but failed and were slain.

Hopefully, the Stag will trouble Cordor no more, but this is far from over. The Wolf and Badger are still prominant, and may consolidate power in the absence of the Stag. As always, be watchful, and stay vigilant.

As always, your friend in the Press,

The Wolf, the Stag, and the Badger?

What seems to be a new assassin's guild is plaguing the cities of Cordor and its territories, recently. A group known only by their insignias - the image of the Wolf, the Stag, and the Badger - has attempted a series of murders on a number of Cordorians. They've slain the son of Lord Derlson, and have also attempted to slay multiple members of the Cordorian Cabinet and Guard.

Their most recent attack was on Narr Nolkus, who has extensive experience in working for the Ministers on the Cabinet but also in assisting the Guard with affairs of justice. Narr claims that she spotted a hidden assassin via a True Seeing spell during an interrogation, and as such, has been labelled someone they wish to slay.

Be vigilant, good Cordorians. This only shows that this new and vile group of assassins have no qualms about killing anyone and everyone that might get in the way of any objectives they have. Who are they? What do they want? Keep an eye and ear out, try not to go anywhere alone, and report all strangeness and suspicious activities to the Guard!

As always, your friend in the Press,

- Gideon Oakley, Editor & Publisher of the Crimson Quill.
