GOVT. A Cordorian Declaration, On Derlson;
III. ON DERLSON;
I have come to find that this is not Lord Derlson's first controversy surrounding his ventures.
I invite any who may have written accounts of the Lord's past hunts, to please share them to me.
Despite knowing that his activities have historically sparked conflict, Lord Derlson failed to inform me in advance and neglected to open a dialogue when concerns were raised.
Numerous druids, including some ennobled Cordorians, attempted to reach out to him, but their efforts went unheeded.
As the situation escalated and lives were lost, he did not provide any warning, nor did he alert me when his trackers were detained in Brogedenstein.
It isn't difficult to gauge the climate of a situation when one is at the heart of it.
While I believe the Greenseers made critical mistakes at every turn, I find Lord Derlson's decisions to be equally flawed, even when not driven by malice.
His actions have provoked threats to the Kingdom, and that simply cannot be dismissed.
At this point in time, Lord Derlson is to be charged One Million in gold.
This gold will be split to;
- Repair and maintain assets lost during the Grove's raid.
- Commission a statue in commemoration of Cordorian Hero Lucina Bridges.
- Compensate Guardsmen and Cordorian Civilians who fell during the raid, and the Druids who fell outside of it, notably Flan Vale.
- Reward the Druids who, during the raid, attempted to be the voice of reason, such as Xantim Mooniyaw.
Additional charges may be issued as the investigation progresses, if further misconduct or crimes are found and proven.
The paper's adorned with the sigil of the Kingdom of Cordor, on dried wax.
Lord Vice-Chancellor Alastair Montgomery,
Lord-Chancellor
