Late blooming innatist case study:

Just over a year ago, a male human approximately age forty to fifty came to me seeking understanding of his powers.  The man was in possession of magical talents but not what kind or the source of his powers.

Through careful research and study of the subject I was able to determine that he was an innatist.  What makes this case so unusual, is that, as we all know, innatists tend to come into their powers around puberty, where this man's did not develop until his middle years.

Further research and study of his blood revealed that the subject has minor traces of abyssal blood in him.  His talents seem to have manifested after a traumatic incident that left him in a life and death situation.  The incident also left his memory erased.

The subject is developing slower than usual but at a steady pace nonetheless.  I am currently working with him closely and my report on abyssal summons explored another problem the subject is experiencing.

Abyssal summons study:

This is a continuation on the subject in my paper "Late blooming innatist study".  The male, human subject, aged forty to fifty appears to be bonded to a giant eyeball of abyssal origin.  The subject has no memory of forming this bond and it disturbed by it.

The familiar is able to speak in the Abyssal tongue, and the subject is able to understand it, even though he says he himself cannot speak Abyssal.  More disurbingly is the fact that the familiar attempts to coerce the subject into violence through it's words.

The familiar has indicated that it hates me and the subject and I are attempting to keep the familiar at bay by having the subject refrain from experiencing fear, hatred, and anger, which the famiiar seems to feed on.

The subject has expressed a desire to be parted with his familiar permanently.  I am currently researching how to achieve this goal.

Shadowdance study:

Approximately two months ago I met a half orc in Cordor by the name of Rhaeg.  In need of employment and funds, Rhaeg volunteered to help provde the Tower with sand and in exchange we paid him a fair wage.  Then Rhaeg showed up stating something was wrong with him.

Rhaeg pesented his arm which at the time had an animated type tatoo of smoking tendrils upon his arm.  During observation the tendrils would fade and disappear completely. After further study I learned that the tendrils present themself when Rhaeg is emotional.

Further research of Rhaeg's person and talents, including summoning a shadow before my eyes while upset, led me to the determination that Rhaeg is what is known as a Shadowdancer.

Discussion with Rhaeg revealed that his mother was a female human and follower of Shar that abandoned Rhaeg at a young age.  I beleive that Rhaeg's mother's connection to the Shadow Weave may have had some influence on his innate abilities.

Elderitch Suppression Unit (Sibyad edge of town):

A large macabre looking jar approximately five fee tall, wrought from marble. The urn is sealed with a screw-top style brass lid.  A brass collar formation exists around the center of the jar with detailed visuals of extraplanar bestiary.

Rolled up scrolls are present in this center regiion with inscriptions of the Dismissal spell.

Further investigation of the peice is needed.  I did not want to open the lid and investigate the contents prior to further research.

Sharran Possession of Human Male:

Duncan Waynolt, human male follower of Tempus and former Sharran came to us asking for assistance after periods of blacking-out and being informed by his wife that he had displayed hostile behavior.

Duncan was displaying dual personalities which I personally observed.  His secondary personality was under the possession of Shar and was attacking followers of Mystra during brief episodes of the other less dominate personality.

Duncan spent twenty days in the Tower either supervised or in Spellhold while we studied his condition and determined that the second personality was being dominated by Shar.  With assistance from his wife and Tempurian priest Glencour, we were able to life the possession.
