Amnian Correspondence with Edward Cordor, 129-130
*The following is a neatly composed book containing immediate copies of the Amnian side of correspondence with King Edward Cordor in the early days of the Year 130. The book is in chronological order, with each page chemically treated to ensure the longevity of these historical records*

To the Esteemed King Edward Cordor,
Each of us to a man are honoured to be dutied as heralds of the King this day.
Your entreaty to the Council of Six has been secured with an armed courier, holding orders to deliver straight to the table of the Meisarch for immediate consideration.
Signed, Aldo of the Embassy of Amn.

To the Esteemed King Edward Cordor,
It is with celebration that I bring to you a swift and favoured response from the Council of Six by way of an Expeditionary Force which, at this very moment, rapiers across the Sea of Swords towards Arelith in aid against the heightening of hostilities from Wharftown.
At the head of this Expeditionary Force is a serrus of great renown amongst the higher ups of the Merchants' Domain, Admiral Hern n. With zest, the Council of Six wishes I express to you that the Admiral's position was not gained from the sway of gold, but through meritoriously earned mithral, and that you may rest easier in the face of such aggression knowing that the coasts are secure.
Signed, Aldo of the Embassy of Amn.

To King Edward,
The Expeditionary Force of Amn has made port at your fine City, with my Flagship the Grand Ballena leading at its head. Our journey began and continued until its end with nothing in our sails but favourable winds - long may this deal prosper us.
I propose an immediate meeting with you and your generals to discuss the tactics of our situation, but from what reports I have already gathered it is clear that Wharftown has determined themselves to be your mortal enemy, and so to mine. Their overarching goal is clear, they seek to chip slowly away at Cordor's foundations in hope that lackadaisical leadership will prolong our response long enough for a coup de gr ce to be delivered by pearl of opportunity.
With each passing moment I urge you to consider the often proven truth, that those who are unwilling to fight for their power shall see it slip from their grasp.
Signed, Admiral Hern n

To King Edward,
And so Armenius Caedare's monstrous dream is a harsher reality than any of us could have envisioned; Necromancers practising their rotten art amongst the backdrop of children and fair traders, beasts crawling out from the depths to kill in the name of Wharftown with chants of "Death to Cordor", deals struck with local bandits to harass anyone with intent to live a peaceful life, and most horrific of all a vase sent to your Government containing the ashes of your own people.
Do you not understand that there is no course open to us but to fight it out with the aggressors once and for all? Will you risk having the Island spiralling out of control if the example is set that a Fishing Town run by kobolds can bloody the nose of a Titan? Will you risk emboldening Guldorand, or Brogendenstein, or Myon to be the next to try their hands at pot-shotting Cordor and continuing this cruel strife?
I am an Admiral, not a King as you are, but you must now see that firming your grasp on the reigns of Cordor's destiny and bringing Wharftown to kneel is now more than ever nothing but the process of peace, for all Arelith. The Grand Ballena is at your side whatever your decision, but if the only conflict my fleet experiences in this chapter is the knowledge that we are mere spectators in Wharftown's War we shall all be greatly disappointed.
Signed, Admiral Hern n

The Wharftown Proclamation
It is with a heavy heart that I today signed the necessary documents to order the razing of the fishing settlement of Wharftown on the Bitter Coast.
At the end of the next month the army and navy of Cordor, together with the Amnian expeditionary force to begin the bombardment.
This has not been an easy decision, but it comes after many years of intermittent conflict, and we can no longer permit such a threat to exist so close to our own borders. We ask our friends in the Earthkin Alliance, Myon and elsewhere sever any remaining diplomatic ties to Wharftown.
I urge all citizens who have not yet done so to leave the town at the earliest opportunity. If, before that date, the conflict is ended and the leader of Wharftown in custody this order may still be rescinded.
*This letter is signed by the hand of King Edward Cordor and bears the seal the city*

To King Edward,
I applaud you, and ready the fleets at your word buoyed by The Wharftown Proclamation. The great leadership you have shown here is commonly the work of many men, and now royalty, government, army and navy are in clear agreement that should Armenius Caedare and his Wharftown's ink get any redder, then the cries of "Death to Cordor, Death to Cordor" must be silenced through obliteration.
Reports reach us every day of traders, families and even defenders of Wharftown who have finally decided to flee the swirling madness of their once quaint coastal town. Each man, woman and child that chooses to flee is another life we have saved.
Should the proclamation not be heeded by the remaining fanatics, then we might at least be able to witness Amn's Grand Ballena and Cordor's Avora sail alongside each other victoriously - a testament to the special relationship we share.
Signed, Admiral Hern n
