Big brush strokes. Big female drow holding a fainting male drow in one arm, in the other a bloody whip.

Beneath her is a beaten female drow, cowering on the floor.

In the background is an exploding volcano and a deep dragon eating a rothe.

The painting might depict in an allegorical style the church of Lolth (often talked about as male) being rightfully claimed by a depiction of violence, with mercy coverings, having failed to take over the church. The dragon eating the rothe thus would be another representation of the militaristic defeating the peaceful, and this being good.

On the other hand, the libidinal nature of this image, along with the rippling muscles of the victorious female and delicate strokes of the male in her arms might just be a representation of the inner workings of the artist’s hangups and neuroses.

As is the case with all paintings, anything is possible. Does that male drow have shaggy hair?
