Vampire Dossier: Vaelira Valene

Overview:

Scion of Lucretia Velene, first came to my attention, and several others during a tournament in Sibayad. She proved very successful there, described by others as ‘terrifying’ in battle.

She fought again in another tourney in Sibayad -winning it along with Lucretia, being the last two standing against various threats.

Highly formidable in battle she seems to serve Lucretia loyally and willingly, though has been seen in the company of other Vampires, such as Rathmar Vhett and Morgan Deane.

History:

Nothing is known of her history before her Arelith, but she bound herself to Lucretia quite swiftly after her arrival, I believe. She took part in a ritual with Lucretia, with several other vampires present (between three and five), where she consumed Lucretia’s blood and became a sort of adopted member of her noble ‘house.’ hence the use of the second name.

The next known sighting of her is the afore mentioned combat in Sibayad.

She attended several lectures and parties in Sibayad with Lucretia, and was often seen in her presence, as well as the presence of Rathmar and Morgan.

Her continued assistance of Lucretia was shown in the ‘Hellball bar’ incident in Sibayad some time later, where she has been noted to use divine magics.

During this time the constable of Guldorand, Corin, spent some time around Lucretia and, ergo, Vaelira. They seem to have swayed him to their side, perhaps through ‘lust’ (as Lucretia later confessed to me). Whatever his reasons, he made a pact with the Lord of the Nine Hells, Asmodeus, via Vaelira I believe. Due to that I believe that Vaelira may be connected to that particular archduke, and may gain her divine powers from Him – though that is just supposition.

Most recently she fought in another tourney in Sibayad, along with Lucretia, where she and her mistress were the last standing. Her ability in combat is truly impressive.

So far she’s shown little imitative outside Lucretia’s orders, it is difficult to tell what her own ends may be.

Other:

A divine caster, I suspect using the same balance of negative energy as her mistress. At time of writing her home is said to be in the Penthouse in Dis, and is mostly empty save for a single stone Coffin.

In the combats in Sibayad she was mostly a mele fighter, using a large sword of some sort (Scimitar maybe? Unknown)
