A Response to Ulvric's Notice
Ulvric Wolfhide has delivered a notice full of omissions and distortions, much like how his old allies operated.
Here are some clarifications.
Eduard Helbrecht met Ulvric in a sanctioned duel. It was a chance to settle a single grievance.
Ulvric arrived with an excessive supply of anti-magic rods purchased specifically to counter and hunt a mage like Eduard. This was not a fair contest but a premeditated killing - strange behaviour from someone who claims he wishes only to be 'left alone.'
He then chose to turn it into an execution the moment he saw advantage. Calling that an act of honour is an insult to the word.
Ulvric speaks of "falsehoods", yet forgets his own history quickly:
- He and Violet were allies of the Loslansirans during their stay in Sibayad, including the time of the coup and when they placed bounties upon the Council's heads. They knew these things to be happening and still chose to continue their alliance.
- Despite this, we pardoned them. They were given peace. They chose to throw it away.
He also omits his continued ties with Sharran agents and criminals. Sebastian Ryker is a thief, Rakshasa and a Sharran ally who has repeatedly stolen from Sibayad. Ulvric and Violet kept close association with him.
The claim that the Pack wished only to be "left alone" is also false.
If Ulvric wanted distance from the Loslansirans, he would not now be living within their former fort. They handed it to him.
If he wanted nothing to do with their allies, he would not be sharing a shop in Dis with Velyere Loslansiran.
His actions speak clearly enough.
As for Violet: she was confronted in Sibayad about her involvement with Ryker. She chose deceit over cooperation. The outcome was hers to decide, and she made her choice.
Ulvric's attempt to cast himself as a victim collapses under the weight of his own actions.
He sheltered criminals.
He worked with cultists.
He lied to Sibayad and hunted its people.
Now he has assaulted one Sibayadi and murdered another, and claims it is 'settled'.
The Pack is no longer a matter of neutrality or patience. By his own hand, Ulvric has declared himself an enemy of Sibayad.
We will respond accordingly.
