Overview:

A member of the Cabal, holds some magical power. Also goes by the name of Ambsace to such an extent, we’re unsure which is the real name. Was very much controlled by the Cabal at the time of reports (late 179AR). Situation now is unknown.

Appearance:

Tended to go hooded, but on one occasion was seen uncovered. His hair was black but no other notes given there. He had a ‘Sneering voice’ and wore black and brown. He did not wear robes. He carried a medium sized round shield with a lions face on it.

History:

Took part in many raids with ‘The Cabal’ – twice capturing a paladin (name redacted for privacy sake.) This paladin was forced to fight Elriel/Ambsace (Which is the real name is unknown) and their mind weakened by Elriel’s magics, using multiple spells. Elriel also fed upon the paladin. Eventually the Paladin was freed. Elriel did not attempt to enthrall the paladin, instead claiming that they would ‘beg for it’ in the end. No thralls have been seen with this vampire.

Other Notes:

Occurs as arrogant and sneering. Noted as enjoying changing forms (bat and wolf) in quick succession for the enjoyment of it. Noted as ‘Playing’ with their prisoners. The presence of the shield is interesting, as it’s difficult to imagine a full on arcanist using such a large shield – perhaps not an arcanist then? Chief witness felt that if his ego was stroked, he’d be easy to lead into a trap due to his arrogance. It seemed that the Cabal kept him on a short leesh, and was likely able to due to his moon elf nature, and having no recourse other than the underdark.
