People of Sibayad,

Our city was attacked from within and the Captain knew where to strike. I am still to receive full details, but I have been told the Kraken itself attacked the sands. How it passed over land, I cannot say.

Furthermore, the Captain's minions have infected our aquifiers. Hallowing is still planned for this, but it will not cleanse the waters. Until further notice, no one is to drink from public water sources and no one is to bathe in the pools and baths.

One person was infected already and seemed to lose total control of themselves attacking others. We believe the water may be infected with the very same substance that comes from the True Ghouls and can turn the living into an Undead. If you believe you may have been affected, drink an Ironguts potion and contact a healer as soon as possible.
