Brogendenstein – Mid-Winter – New Moon - early morn.

Many blessings adorn the Golden Halls of late. Runebinder Krimley, and Pathfinder Yenna, have ascended through the courting ceremony and have formed the bond of bronze. It has been too long since I’ve held such a ceremony, and this joy is greatly appreciated. Too long have these halls been quiet of new love, courtship, or weens, and finally, that is changing. Praises to Sharindlar and Berronar, blessing our hearth and hearts alike.

Gorann has returned from my father’s Honor Oath, to take the duergar king’s crown, completely alone, without aid, in the old halls. Three weeks I sat in prayer, sleeping or eating little, chanting for his safety. I praise Moradin hourly for his grace in blessing us with Gorann’s success and return, though I seem to hold onto guilt too tightly in this. I still feel a sense of sadness that we may have lost him over something unworthy. I am grieved over my father’s pride, and it saddens me to hold this grudge. On this, I pray daily, to remove this shadow in my heart.

Tok has been welcoming new kinsmen into the halls in droves, and has his hands full with the numerous new militiamen. Praises to our Tok for his patience and guidance to the new militia, he is truly a gift from the All Father.

Azoril and I have begun preparations for regular sermons, which are long overdue. Included with the monthly New Moon ceremony to Moradin, we will be teaching something of all the Morndinsamman to sammanfolk and earthkin alike. Long has our temple been too quiet.

In the weeks coming, I will be again traveling into the darkness in search of Deedle, who I now fear may indeed be a drow slave. After nearly a month searching the depths, Azoril and I found little, though we were not able to breach the gates of Udos, despite all our efforts. I fear we may have to employ a citizen of Grond to aid us in our search, which troubles me greatly. In my absence, Orvan will mind he temple, services and health matters in the halls. I am blessed to have a brother Sonnlinor again in these halls, and praise the Soul Forger for his return.
