The Cat Lord

---------------------
This treatise is intended to better help inform on the existence of the Cat Lord, also referred to as Master Cat. While often lumped in as a part of the Animal Lords, sometimes referred to as the Beast Lords, the Cat Lord stands on their own.
Beyond being an important being for nature, the Cat Lord is of great importance to all felines, from the smallest alley cat to the great sabertooths and lions. Beyond cats and things relating to them, the Cat Lord was largely indifferent to other matters.
While often a loner, the Cat Lord does mingle with the other Animal Lords. As well, they have an ally in the form of Solonor Thelandira of the Seldarine, for their shared dominion of hunting. The Cat Lord is said to pay visits to Lord Firemane, Nobanion, and the Feline of Felicity, Sharess, due to their involvement in the Pride.
The Cat Lord takes generally two forms, a human form and a feline form. Details and characteristics of these forms vary, due to the inherited nature of Master Cat. Often the feline form and human form relate to each other, be it an older wizened man with a grey-furred great cat, or a quick-witted black-haired youth with a sharp clawed panther.
The Cat Lord's Prowl is the name for the Cat Lord's divine realm. The Prowl is not a static location, instead defined by the location of the Pride. The Prowl is found in the Beastlands, often wandering Krigala or Brux, though may be found in any of the three layers.
The Pride is the Cat Lord's closest companions. Jaguars, lions, cheetahs, tigers, panthers, winged cats, and so on make up the Pride, felines all. Petitioners in the form of werebeasts of feline quality may also be found within the Pride.
The Master Cat is not limited in where they go. While its home is the Prowl, the Cat Lord freely stalks across the outer planes, even traveling through the Prime Material. They may do this to help various felines or clusters of pride, or simply for the thrill of the hunt.
The position of Cat Lord is inherited, passed from the current to a chosen heir. Generally this heir displays abilities to take multiple shapes already as a therianthrope would be able to while still being young and full of potential. The position is passed once the original Cat Lord fades, the new one taking their place with the given title becoming their name.

To prowl and hunt is to be feline. To lounge, rest, and partake in the Pride is the spirit of the Cat. One must be fine in being physically alone, for spiritually the Pride walks with one always. To be Cat is to know the prowl of freedom, and have wisdom in patience to await the prey's mistake. Hunters and predators, the feline stalk onwards to the next catch while savouring their past hunts.
