The Silence Before the Storm by Vaylani Moontear
Tis only the silence before the storm
The quiet interlude between the horns
When all hold their breath as one
Listening for the call to war to come.
Of these precious moments, make the most...
So gather your beloved, and bring them close
To share your laughter, allay their fears...
Say your farewells, and spill your tears.
Who knows whom the fickle winds will sweep?
Whose blood the enemy blades shall reap?
Whose shattered smiles the earth shall keep?
Whose souls shall lay down to forever sleep?
So of these precious moments, make the most...
Gather your beloved, and bring them close
Share your laughter, allay their fears...
Say your farewells, and spill your tears.

One More Sunset by Vaylani Moontear
What I would not give, love,
for just once more
A somber sweet sunset,
my hand in yours,
My life, my soul...
the gods I now implore.
One last chance to say the words
I could not before
When time passed slowly
between us, ignored
What I would not give love,
for just once more.
How longs my heart
for the gentle smile you bore
That rendered all else
important no more
My life, my soul...
the gods I now implore.
I still remember the exquisite expression that you wore
The first, the last, and all the times
to me you swore
What I would not give love,
for just once more.
And while I should not hope,
still my hope soars
To reach you wherever you are,
on distant shores
My life, my soul...
the gods I now implore.
And though I weep that from me,
the heavens tore you, my love
I would sacrifice all and forever more
What I would not give, love,
for just once more
My life, my soul ...
the gods I now implore...

Heart's Home by Rhudaeil
Over the verdure, nearest the cliffs,
where the horizon's nimbus meets the beryl expanse of the sea,
there is a place.
It is thatched roof over four walls of pale clay,
tiny rays of sunlight over these ramparts of warmth,
and a stone tunnel to the sky.
Here there is love,
always three smiling faces to greet,
the gentle chirp of awakening,
that sounds through the trees of morn.
Mother,
Father,
Child.
Here,
you are forever.

Winter's Musings by Nakaia Mornmist
All winter long I hoped for the melt,
when the green grass grows and the leaf trees bloom,
Now Spring's past and summer is felt,
oh please oh please will fall come soon.

Why? by Mithrim Ossear
Why do people lie, why do people cry. Why do people grieve, why do people always leave. Why do people hide their emotions, why do people seek to cause commotion. Why do people hide their face, why do people hate the Seldarine's grace.
Why do people hurt other people for the hurtful feeling of evil, why do people act sad and when people ask, get mad. Why do people do things for attention and always end up with tension.
why do people backstab their friends, all because of different bends. Why do people love to hate all because of another fate. And in the end, when i sigh, All i can do is ask 'Why? '

A Hunter's Prayer by Orion Stormwood
I am predator and you are prey. The circle of life demands there be both. I accept, as predator, my responsibility to be swift and sure, for carelessness causes you suffering.
Yet, because I am sometimes less than I can be, suffering I will cause. May I be thus judged by the sincerity of intent and purity of heart, and when deserved, may I be forgiven.
I celebrate your courage and love of life for it is now with reverence that I thank you, my prey, for giving me both, and I honor it by pledging through your death sustenance for life will come.
Your spirit is set free, let it go where it will. If you think I am worthy, perhaps you will honor me by allowing your spirit to come into my heart where it can live within me and be my counsel. And when life comes full circle for me, may both of our spirits be set free in a better place.

What Cares a Bee? by Mithrim Ossear
Doing work no other can, Deep in dewy nectaries, Petal-walled refectories, Apple-blossom, columbine, Rose and lily, all are thine, Yet, though oft thy weight they bear, Dost thou know how they are fair? Thine are sun and Summer breeze, Hast thou aught of joy in these? No idle, vain, voluptuous life, Nor one of useless toil and strife, The busy creature led; Active, loyal, clever, brave, A patriot f
ee, not crouching slave, She earned her daily bread. A lily, queen of summer's shade, With gems of purest pearl array'd, In virgin lustre bright, Bent low, and showed its cups were fill'd With choicest sweets, from dews distill'd, Alone for his delight.
Her sombre suit of dingy rust Was powdered o'er with yellow dust; Her feet with travel stained; Her thighs were plated o'er with gold, And scrip as full as it could hold Of treasure she had gained. Pollen-yellow dumbledore, Leave thy clovers tumbled o'er! What's a lily? What's a rose?
Down the golden lane he goes, Drowsing forth a prosy song, "Honey! Honey!" all day long, Wasting life's diviner sweet, Hiving food for drones to eat. Oh, thou silly, silly bee! Idle here and laze with me!

Sailing Upon Song by Mithrim Ossear
We were sailing on waves of silver / There were echoes in the wind, When we raised our sails to capture them / The ship was lifted up and in and we sang, Now the country that we all came from / They play silver melodies, And the kings and queens would write their dreams / On silver pages we would read, And we sang
We will cross any water.... any water, And if we find, there's a song that's getting stronger, We will sound all our own silver songs, And we will know if they belong
Now the echoes were getting louder / And a chorus filled the air, When the voices fell they broke the spell / That tied us to our dark dispair, And we sang, We were taken through the shadows / Were we carried through the night / When the sun appeared / Oh Gods my fears of darkness melted in the light / And we saw the world with different eyes / And we sang
We will cross any water.... any water, And if we find, there's a song that's getting stronger, We will sound all our own silver songs, And we will know if they belong

Daedin The Guardian by Mithrim Ossear
Daedin was an Elven Knight / His life lived justly and right / He spoke like unto a king / of him the harpers still do sing
The first whose heart was fair and free / but not the last for it still shall be / His sword was long, his spear was keen / his shining helm afar was seen
The countless stars of Arvandor's field / were mirrored in his silvery shield/ But long ago he stepped away / And now he dwells in tombs they say / For he guards in darkness with his star / In Lye Astradae where the shadows are.

When the wind blows (1st verse) by Tahlal
When the wind blows / Across the water, / Ripples form and waves grow.
When the wind blows / Across the water, / I am drawn to a life I must follow.
I stood long and I gazed into the wind / Till the tears that rolled down / Fell to my feet, into the sea.

When the wind blows (2nd verse) by Tahlal
When the wind called / Across the mountains, / Humans climb with the axe.
When the wind called / Across the mountains, / A dryad dies, a grove falls, our watch was lax.
How we wept as we thought of their pain / For the wound to the land / Hurst us all the same, lingering near.

When the wind blows (3rd verse) by Tahlal
Now the wind blows / Through the forest, / Whispering life will grow.
Now the wind blows / Through the forest, / Dryads dance and they sway 'neath the willow.
We stand strong as we look into the light / Change has come and now we fight, / To restore where life once was.
