As the election has continued, I have taken some time to assess the current form of the government and how it functions.  There are likely some parts that are redundant or could be merged and I will be reviewing the entirety of the cabinet.  I believe there is even space for the other running against me in the new leadership.

The first among these after the events of this tenday should be obviousthe laws of Cordor are long, redundant, and overly obtuse.  The trial today was far too long, disorderly, and more of a tedious affair than something to be praised.  As a former Magistrate, I am will be reviewing and streaming the laws to prevent such from occurring in the future.  Sometimes, simpler is better.

One thing that Cordor has never held as a strong focus on the Arcane.  Thought its history Cordor has relayed on the Arcane Tower to provide this guidance, but it is time for Cordor to embrace as our own and be self-sufficient.  There are more than a few people take control of a Ministry of the Arcane as Cordors The First Magister.  They will be used to review magical procedure within the city, assess dangerous external to Cordor, but at the same time follow the reason and lawfulness of Cordor.

Secondly, we need to keep tighter controls on the influence of spies and other underdwellers than infect our city.  These types are trained in knowing how to pull at an adventurers emotions and pull them to their side.  What most of the citizens see as just, is often looked upon as xenophobic by the adventuring populations because their minds have been muddled by the sweet honey of their vile words.

My Cordor is a strong and free one, not beholden to the whims of smaller settlements around the isle.  It is up to us to strengthen ourselves and well as keep out the unsavory.  I trust that you all have similar wishes for this grand city.
