Seeds & Weeds by Aurlyn Hyddwr
Early every year, seeds are growing unseen, unheard, they lie beneath the ground. Would you know before the leaves are showing that with weeds all your garden will abound?
If you close your eyes, stop your ears, hold your mouth, how can you know? The seeds you cannot see may not be there and the seeds you cannot hear may never grow.
In Deepwinter you've still got the choice you can cut the weeds before they start to bud. If you leave them to grow higher, they'll silence your voice and with the Drawing Down you may pay with your blood.
The weeds are all around us and they're growing - it will soon be too late for the knife. If you leave them on the wind that around the world is blowing -
You may pay for your silence with your life.

A small requiem by Lucynya Lillith
For in this darkest night I sat./ With a mages hat./ Beneath those jasmine flowers and admidst cyprus trees./ We're the only ones left to ponder./ The ageless Mysteries. With candle lit./ Friends gathered./ Looking out to the see./ You shall find we,
We whom did not belong./ Raising our heads, voices lilted in song./ A requiem hymm we shall sing, to our endless Queen./ Sitting above in the heavens, wearing clothes with a royal sheen./
But the angels fall first./ And without our Queen's unity, none to ponder these mysteries/ To sing into the air/ And share that love fair./ We are not angels, we are merely curst.

The Day Breaks Over the Lake by Quemela Howers
Still before the morning light, I awake to an erie sight, The dew drops don't drop, The leaves don't fall, The wind holds it's breath, This is what I see before my death!
All energy gives way, And soon I lay, In the ground, Buried deep beneath, Tucked under the earth, This is what was fortuned at my birth!
To live without belief, Suffering the ever mounting grief, The gods show no favor, For a man who takes, The life of another, Even more when it was his brother!
I stare at this stagnent lake, I shall not see the day break!

Food for Thought, Thought for the Body by Quemela Howers
The state of mind is one of a kind, It's personnel to each but for all to teach, For us to share should be knowledge fair, The more we know the more we can grow!
To share this feast is to feed the beast, Of what our minds crave to digest and save, Together we can blend our minds to bend, Over the inflictions of our daily convictions!
I say this to one and all we must share our minds or fall, Into the past and finish last, If we do not feed ourselves of the need, Our fate is not one from which we cannot run!
Give to everyone you see in need of know how to succeed, Search for more and remember before, The ones who came first and fated to thirst, Of knowledge that was not known but had to be grown.

The Blind Elf's Sonnet by Ar'nes Norre'undlin
The beauty of the world I did behold ? Of nature's glory and the works of hand ? Through vibrant colors, shades of warm and cold ? The leaves and blossoms painted by the land
My eyes did show me wonders near to heart ? The living dreams that be the maidens fair ? The gentle curves like priceless works of art ? The silken sheen of flowing locks of hair
But soon I fell to superficial sin ? My eyes showed naught but arrogant desire ? Forgetting that true beauty lies within ? The kind for which a heart one does require
My loss of vision once did pain me through ? But now I see beyond to beauty true

Sonnet of Hidden Treasures by Ar'nes Norre'undlin
A tale of beauty found in the unknown - Of that which can't be held within the eye - The fruit of seeds - only the mind has sown - Of things revealed if only we but try
A stroke of brush or curve of sculptor's art - Can bring a joy when one's eye does behold - But deeper beauty reaches to the heart - And opens up the vision of the soul
A gentle kiss from lips of lovers true - The laugh of children innocent and pure - A mellow breeze beneath clear skies of blue - All beautiful and precious to be sure
Find beauty in the simple everyday - And joy shall take your burdens all away

Being Whole by Ar'nes Norre'undlin
The solitude is not so bad, it musn't always feel so sad, to be alone is not bad for the soul. The trick is to be one's own self, to care about one's own good health, to love yourself enough that you feel whole.
The spaces can be filled alone, the seeds of self love gently sown, for to be whole one must first love the self. To truly love another means, there must be no doubt inbetween, you must stand tall and be your own strong Elf.
So whether man or woman be, please heed these words given by me, if you seek love you must have naught to hide. To love another person true, you first must give of all of you, and love the person who you are inside.
For hearts which lack for fullness fail, and broken unions soon grow stale, but two strong hearts will surely both survive. For when they meet they both can share, in fullness and unselfish care, and both take joy in knowing they're alive.

Reborn by Valuril Vilirith.
We enter life screaming, It is called beautiful. We leave screaming, But it is I who will call that beautiful.
The two are closely linked, I've lost my life. I am reborn a weapon of my people. Single of mind and purpose. I fear none and walk these lands an outcast.
The feeling of wind and rain is encompassing and yet terrifying. I feel lifted, as if a leaf. Floating easterly with no destination and no memory of it's past. Only below do I feel at home.

Serenity by Valuril Vilirith.
Bring to me serenity, let me be peaceful
Bring me to a place that my mind can wander and my thought can fathom. Show me that the ocean so violent can still have moments of calm
Show me that my mind so dark and cloudy can still have flowers bloom, even in the harshest of conditions
Bring me to serenity, let me be peaceful

White Death by Valuril Vilirith.
Sound is something that becomes almost as deafening as the silence. I may never come to understand it. White covers the surface now.
Will I live to see it twice? Only The Night Hunter knows. My life is moment to moment. Heartbeat to heartbeat.
It beats rage in my ears thrice darker than the snow. Endless seeping rage. Could this be my white death?
Day 8, Month 11 (Uktar), 139 AR

Falling by Valuril Vilirith.
Falling. Faster and faster I go. Will it ever end? It's been centuries now. Each day the light fades farther away. It has made me bitter. I bask in darkness. I am jaded, and cynical. I do not relate to my kin. I sit in my darkness, bitter and alone. It is my only friend. My only comfort.
Silent rage build within me daily. I wonder how long before I step into the world of eternal damnation to claim another? They will stumble into an abyss darker than their lives or their skin.
Once I was unlearned to ways of the dark. Naive, stupid. Now internalizing pain and hate, shortly followed by vast explosions of emotion seething with anger. My blood screams Vengeance.
It is a means of survival. This is what I am. I am not a hero, nor a protector. I am not a good man. But I can survive. It is dirty and raw. Most can not digest easily. But survival is done alone. Only now can I fortify my heart to be this cruel
Day 8, Month 11 (Uktar), 139 AR
Valuril Vilirith.
Victimless by Valuril Vilirith.
Victims of the fall, demons to us all. Time move slowly on, Though we, the damned find time immensely calm, Be this my anthem or my psalm. Victims of death aren't we all.
Powers rise, and powers fade, Here bear witness to my heart flayed. It bleeds not, Anymore. Which no power can restore.
I hunt in memory of the fallen, Those who recall, claim Victimless.... I claim Vengeance.
Day 8, Month 11 (Uktar), 139 AR

No Fear by Valuril Vilirith.
Twisted spires, fear retires, upon the sound of deaf ears. I stand different among my peers. I shed no tears for those lost. But stand in silent vigilance no matter the cost.
I am the silent death, that will wait for time itself to rust, If it means finishing my task. The waves of doubt and weakness crash into the pillar of revenge. Fearlessly it juts above the tide, upon this pillar I reside. Ever vigilant.

Turbulence by Kylantha Valynssa
The blue sprawls out before me, endless
the surface gnashes and churns,
a crushing, dangerous turbulence.
A brisk breeze stings my cheek,
I breathe deeply, and my eyes fall close.
Awake, I find myself falling, sinking
Blue turns to black, a creeping darkness
My mouth opens, but nothing comes forth
Nothing but a strangled gasp.
The doubt swallows me.
When the black is all that remains,
the pressure crushing hope
A ray of warmth shines, piercing all.
Doubt no longer, I open my mouth, my voice clear
And I smile and rise.

A Walk Down the Path by Ar'nes Norre'undlin
As the new paths rise up and lead us onward one cannot help but to reflect - Upon how the simplest of meetings indeed could cause two young hearts to connect
A touch of the hand and a laugh on the lips and couple of words tossed around - Inspire the magic that starts new beginnings and nurtures something more profound
Where this path will lead us we know not for sure but one thing is perfectly clear - My heart and my head both resound with delight everytime that I know she is near
So with clear minded thoughts and a heart full of joy and a path on which nothing is planned - I press on with a smile and with each step I know that the two of us walk hand in hand

Light of Mine Wishes for The People by Verimil Aelorothi
Dear Father,
Corellon, we praise ye. Seldarine we live in thine light. Given the passage of time and space since the mix of blood and tears during that fateful fight.
I serve, my kindred, my patron, my aims are yours.
So:
Put ye sword to the throat of darkness, bash thine shield into despair that it might not rise again.
A whole heart we have been given by our father, to bring forth the peace and glory of The People.
Hidden in the groves of our forests is the renewal of all, drawn to life by the unity of his children.
We have a path, we have a goal, do not fight each other for it is in these moments that evil draws ever closer.
Corellon our creator, our haven, awaits us in Avandor.
Our beautiful acts assure our eternity beside each other in Arborea.
Let not the night draw you away from your kindred's eternal stay.
Hope, Love, Life, the gifts Corellon has offered.
We merely need to live his words, his wishes, his examples, and he will hold us in his arms safe from the world.
Giving us the rest and peace that no others shall be blessed to endure.
So with this in mind I merely wish to offer that if you seek assist in living his way you seek me out for I am his knight, his servant, his humble child. Having studied my whole life to learn the way he wishes the world to see our kind I shall over come all indifference and draw to him the hearts of our kindred, or die trying.

Moonlit Mysteries by Ilyndrathyl
Now I leave this little hut / Where my beloved lives, / Walking now with veiled steps / Through the shadowy leaves.
How beautiful the coolness / Of this lovely summer night! / How the soul fills with happiness / In this true place of quiet!
Till finally Sehanine?s radiance / So bright and clear overflowed my night, / And swift willing thought?s meaning glance / Swallowed past and future in its light.

Drops by Tahlal
Rain falls with a gentle pitter patter, little drops, little splatter. It begins to grow, coming down harder, torrents of crystals so clear.
Bolts of light tear across the dark night sky, rumbling thunder follows after. It builds with such a terrible fury, but suddenly it stops.
The storm passes.

Lunar longing by Tahlal
From behind a cloud, Selûne beckons to me, and tonight she glows! Her curves are perfect, the shadows on her face mysterious. Could it be that she looks down to our world only to focus on me this night?
But what is that before her? The luminous cloud? Could it be that all of this time I stared not at Selûne, but at the wife of my lord? I cover my eyes. Only for a moment. The yearning to gaze upon her once more is too delightful, too much for me to bear.
With blasphemy in the depths of my soul, I long to gaze upward at her full body. I can feel her effect on my heart, tidal surges of blood tugging toward her attraction. Tonight, I forget our Creator, and know only the Lady of my Dreams.

But One. by Valuril Vilirith.
Returning to places with smiling faces. Common traces of familiar spaces. Searching, for you, races.
But One, He did not return come fall, Now winter chills us all. Sorrow doesn't begin to cover the squall.
Moons wane, and colors fade. Familiar places never feel quite the same. I scan the horizon for your return. Yet each day wrought more concern.
But One, you will live to see the sun. Glowing, light flowing, bringing stun. Together we will hunt once more in Arvandor.

Valuril Vilirith.
Sight by Tahlal
Once there was a child who saw too much. At the edges of her vision were the flickering images of worlds far away. The girl saw creatures that crept, crawled and slithered, things too terrible to dream up. Only when she rested could she escape these visages from the Far Realms.
During her reverie on one moonlit night, the girl was blessed with sweet dreams of things to come. She saw the paths toward a bright future for the People and how she could influence them. The girl was saved by Sehanine Moonbow, blessed with a special gift, and became a vassal for the good of the People.
Terrible waking nightmares were turned into dreams of hope; the child who saw too much continued to see.

Choices by Tahlal
Take this seed and plant it deep, it's a secret you must keep.
With meaning of truth in shades of grey, come uncertain lies to make us stray.
Heed not the words of the night, come here - I'll show you the light.

Love by Genneiros
Spring excites satyrs, and iniciates dryadic choruses with renewed fire. By this, Hanali is provoked, By this love is renewed,
By this I am made restless, By this i am made sad. If trough loving a lover could be able to be worth of anothers love.
Then love could will me, To be cured by surrending to be gladdened.

You Turned Away. by Melienee Lirela
Eye upon thine, mouth wide and eagerly open. Tie up my mind, and words never spoken. Though seen and sought, contact broken. Toe to knee I ran and fought for your token.
There I see you look the other way. Here I stand and tell heart it must obey. Now spoken word hold no or any sway. Vow thrown to ground and cast away.
Dream of time and place to catch thy look. Scream my thoughts alone in my book. Bended knee to rest and then cloth took. Fend these tears, an emotional crook.

[Poem] Travelling Elf by Yeto
Yellow Star rise up high, / Illuminate the stark blue sky, / So that we may wander far and wide / So that we need not go and hide.
Silvered moon shine on us, / So that we may dance and thus, / Laugh and love and enjoy our play, / And shout to the world, what will we say?
We may call to them, those gods we love, / And ask of them, protect us here and above, / To love us an we love them, / To treasure us as a precious gem.
But we know this already in our hearts, / Their love for us none can thwart, / As we wander and love and live in this land, / This beautiful world, so much so grand.

A song for someone. by Galen Thosar
I've found you in that dark place, / That place where we were hurt. / And still, I walk toward you, / To draw you out and show you.
No one knows the future, / No one can tell it all. / And yet, some of that thrills me, / If you could only see what I see.
Look inside and tell me all that ails you, / Save me from this awful loneliness. / I will try to reach out and show you...
I don't want to hurt, / Me or you... / Tell me, what do I have to do?

[Poem] Wandering to Myon by Yeto
The furthest reaches of the world / By shifting winds, have sails unfurled / A journey yet / No target set / To seek the land o' goddess whirled.
The land of swamps in outer rim / Human cities, and those of hin / A land of snow / Where all wind blows / None can match the lands of kin.
Step within, Myon's borders / Walls of marble, and tall towers / A people bright / A land of light / Within the core, artists flower.
A Mythal so bright, guards those within/ A land of magic, and friendly kin / A place of safety / A good heart is key / And of Myon, there is no twin.

Leaves by Rilavas Llewyrr
'Though the wind may collect the fallen leaves, knocking free those that are loose to stir into the breeze, remember those always for what they were to me, green kindred united upon the old oak tree.'

Gone by Rilavas Llewyrr
'It was a short thing of wonder that stopped to make me think, these tiny little toes with nails decorated pink. I thought this as I held her and she told me of her life, it is a heart too young and too soft to truly bury in the knife.'

[Poem] The Defence of Final Rest by Yeto
With elven magics and mighty bows, / Humans and Horcs all aglow, / Many allies, whom brought more, / With courageous hins bringing news, / And defensive wards of many hues.
A sight to see, a mighty wall, / Dwarven Steel, guarding cryptic hall, / To stop evil we all abhor, / To cleanse the filth of Spider Queen, / By each hand of the Seldarine!
Alas two fell before all was done, / Stopped the horde so friend could run, / In return we slew three foes for, / Nicodemus, Knight of Myon, / Returned to us, True Resurrection.
Ely'haeruilia, Sister True, / A child of Aedrie Faenya who, / Was councilor, friend, healer 'fore, / She gave herself to defeat the blight, / And restore the Lye its' inner light.

The lullaby of obliteration by Beldrin Nermastafer
What am I supposed to do if I want to talk about peace and understanding but you only understand the language of the sword? What if I want to make you understand that the way you chose leads to downfall, but you only understand the language of the sword? What if I want to tell you to leave me and my beloved ones in peace, but you only understand the language of the sword?
I let the blade do the talking... So my tounge shall become iron and my words the mighty roar of war, revealing my divine anger's arrow shall strike. All action for the good of all, I see my reflection in your eyes, but my new age has just begun.
The sword is soft, in the fire of the furnace it hungers to be hit and wants to have a hundred sisters. In the coldest state of their existence they may dance the maddest in the morass of the red rain. Beloved brother enemy, I sing my sword song for you, the lullaby of obliteration so I can wake up with a smile and bliss in my heart.
Coexistence, conflict, combat, devastation, regeneration, transformation, that is the best I can do for you. I see a grey gloom on the horizon that promises a powerful sun to rise to melt away all moons, it will make the old fires of purification look like dying embers.

[Poem] She Who Healed by Yeto
Ely'haeruilia, / Child of Air, / Wanders with Winged Mother, / She waits for us there.
Let us mourn our fallen sister, / All across the land, /For the loss of friend and kin, / And of course, healing hand.
But mourn not too greatly, / For she gave us a gift, / Honour her memory, / Allow our hearts to lift.
Ely'haeruilia, / Sister of Flight, / Thank you for your sacrifice, / For cleansing the Light.

Fond Remembrance by Saloria Tuelaris
Fond remembrance of days past, fragments of time we hold fast, better times and better days
Selectively we choose, cast in amber hues, imbued with purer feeling
Refining means, defining themes, revealing and obscuring truth
How we perceive leads to what we believe. Remember

Forests in Retreat by Kethyra Nhevanth
There was a love once
I shaped it with my hands
Until in its forms
I saw sunlight and streams
And earthy verges sweet with grass
It fit easily into my pack
And made peaceful
The years of wandering
Through forests in retreat
And down the river's tragic flow
On the day we broke
Upon the shore of a distant land
I fled cold and bereft
Fighting curtains of ash
Up through the snows of the pass
In the heaps of spoil
Among an enemy victorious
My love floundered
In the cracked company of kin
Broken down blow upon blow
And now as my days lower
Into the sleep of regret
I dream of fresh clay
Finding these old hands
Where the wind sings of love

Grief is a Guest of Honor by Lakas Larthanien
Grief is to be watered with tears
So that it will blossom
Nurse and cherish, carefully tend with shears
So it will not go to waste
Never turn it from your door
Grief, if comes knocking
Bid it welcome, show it hearth's roar
Give it a place to stay
What your guest of honor tells you
Hide it well in your heart
Teachings not found in volumes old or new
Nor bought with glit or shine
Are wisdom your grief imparts
Your eyes are made for cries
Let those tears be wept
After all a new sun will rise
When you've a spring in your step
And when grief's bloom sees summer's sun
It will wilt to the ground
Even still, you will think of it as a flower
Memories are pure as dearest gold
Nor did your guest stay overlong
It took another journey
Yet it will come to you again
Closer than you care to foresee
