First off, thank you for taking the time to create an account and share your work! Arelith is a remarkable server with a deep, player shaped history. By contributing to this wiki, you’re helping preserve the living world we’ve all built together. A world filled with stories, creativity, and community.
With that in mind, here are a few simple guidelines to keep things consistent and fair:
Everything Here Should Exist In-Game
This archive is dedicated to Arelith’s in-game literature. All submissions must have been published or shared within the game world at some point. Any work that has never appeared in-game will be removed.
Types of Accepted Works
Art, poems, plays, and in-game published books are all wonderful additions. Notes, reports, and public board announcements are also welcome as long as they help tell Arelith’s story or shed light on events and lore. However, posts like shop ads, routine notices, or anything clearly griefing another player’s character will be removed to keep the archive focused and tidy.
Avoid Spoilers and Metagaming
To prevent issues involving currently active characters, only submit writings that are publicly accessible in-game (for example, in public libraries, notice boards, or museums). Writings kept in private collections (such as journals, letters, or rare texts held by individual PCs) should not be added until enough real-world time has passed that sharing them would not impact ongoing roleplay. As a general rule: if a player’s character is still active, do not upload their private materials.
Special Note: Some long-standing characters remain active for years. In such cases, please wait at least one to two real-life years before submitting writings that reveal their PC's actions — unless they’re already publicly available in-game.
Preserve Your Work or Another’s
You’re welcome to add your own writings or help preserve the works of others, as long as they follow the guidlines above above.
If you have any questions about these guidelines, or if you notice an issue with an article, please reach out to me directly. I’m always happy to help.
Thank you again for contributing and helping preserve Arelith’s history. Every piece added helps keep the stories of our world alive for players old and new alike.
