Their stated target was Valary, an aasimar and member of both the Arcane Tower and Light Keep. After obtaining entrance, they slew a Tower mage and caused another to flee and seek help.<br /> <br /> Upon hearing the news, I moved to respond along with Councilor Aranielauss of Cordor. Once we arrived, we also joined forces with various members of the Arcane Tower and the Cordor Guard, including Thompson, &#039;Thazar&#039;, Melisandre, and Valary herself.<br /> <br /> The Abyssal leader, Kathea, ordered the cultists to attack. After a brief but bloody battle, all of the Abyssals ended up slain. Among their number was Colav Arniman, a woman identified as Urhma, and a dark-haired man in heavy armor who appeared to be a mercenary.<br /> <br /> During the battle, Ka&#039;thea exerted some form of control over Valary, causing her to attack us. Examination of Valary discovered that she had some sort of implanted condition that forced her to obey the Abyssals, perhaps a relic of her previous capture.
