Here comes the burning of the scrolls, the Scrivener's Rest. Another year gone by, another set of adventures to partake in, victories to have, dramas to observe, and defeats to climb back from. Take time to reflect on all that has been. Think of your accomplishments, think to your sorrows, your missed opportunities. Your family, your friends, your allies.

Take this changing of the year as time to reflect. Think of those we have lost. And as the dawn's light rises, look forward to the new people there is to meet. The new deals, the new challenges and struggles we may meet.

=== Scholars Scribing Steadily ===
The Library of Sibayad, hosting the Moonstone College, has been steadily gathering scholars, scribes, lorekeepers, and the most astute to bring only the brightest knowledge to the sands. Nieri Aetherforge has been hosting a series "From Clockwork to Cognition", asking the questions your dungeon delving warrior would be too scared to ask. "Why?"

Rumor has it new interest has come, new projects and new research opportunities are coming to light. Find your nearest librarian if the road of knowledge scratches that itch.

=== Renegade Avians! ===
In the first sandy Fight Night of The Redigades series in our very own bloodied sands arena, victory goes to an unlikely champion, the avian creature known as Kenku! The victor used spell and might to vanquish foes and come out on top! This winner? Sahar!

While we put our bets on the hobgoblin, to the best goes the spoils. Much appreciation to the Crimson Palace Redigades for putting on this showcase, and we hope the event is allowed to grow in our arena.

=== Stout Deals? ===
Rumor comes that the sand town of Sibayad is staking out looking for external import and export deals. It is no secret that Cordor is vying for a trade partner and after their laughable election brought on by merchants not wanting to play by new regulations who can blame them. But more interesting is one dwarf, Nyka, has been overheard seeking out new deals with all sorts, including our little jewel of the desert.

Will these deals and talks come to anything fruitful, or are they just passing promises of consideration to be placed to the wayside? Time shall tell.

=== Moves and Manipulations ===
There are small changes to the makeup of the Sibayad council under Vizier Helbrecht. Captain Tideris has stepped down, with Captains Trazz'tl and Aetherforge taking up the reigns. Aetherforge has also turned to focus on the seas, allowing Lora Thendry to step up as Steward. Sinaid Ruharin has also stepped aside to a former position of Lord Herald, leading diplomatic outreach.

This has left the Arbiters without a solid lead. One Arbiter was overheard seeking the Commander chair for themselves. We look forward to the announcement, or the play for power!

=== Spotlight: The Undercroft ===
A lesser traveled place within the Town of Sibayad is the arena's Undercroft, its entrance in the arena itself or just past the infirmary. Here gladiators can prepare themselves and train, or upcoming beast masters can seek to fill the cages with new terrors.
