I come in this island as a boy, in search of gold and fame and honor, like many other adventurers arrived in Cordor from evry corner of Ferum.

I was attracted by sweet lies, like many others before and after me, but how can i know where i was going? where iwas truly going? 

After ten years i found out this island is like a Ouroboros, a serpent devouring hiis own tail, is a infinite changing battleground where armies and faction dies and change form aways the same but awayls different, factions that follow a triumph that will never come because this wheel is soo well stuck in the middle of its gear, that the thought that can no longer be there scares.

And is been quite some times that my entire life is devoted to break this wheel, but this make me in danger, many enemy rise to stop me, and my last day may come closer and closer, so i decide to write my history on pages as a monument, not of my greatness, but of my existence.

To begin a chronicle like this requires honesty, a virtue that I do not believe has ever been possessed, and how could I? I lied to  gods and men in the name of the greater goods that I followed blindly. but i promise this, every word written in this pages will be true. 

I'm Geriance Isolon, The Betrayer of Zhentarim, the traitor of two gods, and one of the last members of the Burning blades of Kossuth.

I hope someone will remember me, when this island will finaly fall.

It was the Winter of the Year 140 when i arrived at Cordro, Expelled with Dishonor by the gray mantles of Neverwinter for refusing to kill in cold blood, a shame for my family and disinherited by my father exile was what awaited me, i was young, i had a sword, i did not needed anything else.

I Quicly did some work, i remember the sewers, the jobs that the office forced me to do, i had friends, but mostly i worked alone, Criminals, Rats, Goblins, i was a warrior, nothing could face me.

Until my eyes fell on a sign, written immediatly outside the city gates, an order of inquisitors was looking for members, The Burning Blades, i was interested, up until then there were only two things in the mind of the people i have meet, Banites and Vance, Vance and Banites, i wanted to face them, i wanted to be the hero who would defeat the evil of the island... i was young and fool.

I managed to meet the face of this organization, and I would be lying if I didn't say I was in love with the figure in front of me, it was a veteran compared to me. but something in her kidnapped me. only now I understand that it was that fire that burned inside her , that desire to fight. and I, like a moth, was attracted and consumed, making myself part of that fire.

Her name was Hanna Hornraven, may she rest in peace.

One of my biggest regrets and not having been there when her moment arrived, I knew was a sickness, but I never wanted to investigate, the guilt was too high, even if a minimum part of me loved her, i left her alone.

while I served as nothing more than an initiate in the order I traveled to the Arcana Tower, a journey that I had made gods  known many  times before, but without realizing  I was followed by a band of gobliniod that time, i killed them in front of the tower, under the eyes of a figure, black, metallic, enormous, who saw talent in me and offered me power.

The figure name was Otok, Blackguard of Bane, and by that casual meeting, all i was changed.
