Painted in dark oils, gleaming in their blacks and purples; bright glow of a portal shines streaks of light to illuminate a large stone room filled with all manners of monsters and maniacs. The colors tend towards the dark and glossy; the painting itself reflects light to illuminate hidden details within.

Of the monsters, they paint a myriad of the macabre. Drooling ogres, twisted drow, leering orcs, bloody gnolls, and more and more, all in spiked armor or concealed with fell magicks. The drow number many, however, leading the charge… and their fall. They die in droves, sprawled across the bloodied floor as their foes, a host of elves shining not with some holy light but in determination, cut them down.

Two elves lead the charge, one slightly behind the other. The one in lead is male, black of hair and bland, almost sorrowful of feature, a priest of some manner by his vestments, although those too are quite simple, of browns and greys. Gilded leaves crown his brow, a sign of some title, even if the rest of his outfit does not reflect it. Ruddy red energy streaks from his hands, coiling at the throat of what seems to be a withered drow matron; she dies before him, the life torn out of her.

The other elf is female, concealed of face, agile of build, wearing dark blues and blacks. Her eyes are not on the foes before them, however, but the male elf before her, with some intent look in her eyes. One may then realize, that all the elves in this host, though in battle they may be, all their focus is upon the kingly elf before them.

There is a sense of both mourning and hope to this war party, trust in him to lead them.

A simple plaque upon the bottom of the painting’s frame reads:

"[Elven]: ''Light Beneath the Stone. Coronals United. In Memory of Virodain.''"

A far more elegant plaque is attached to the top of the frame, reading:

"[Xanalress]: ''The primitive and delusional propaganda that fairies try, and fail, to pass off as art.''"
