The surface's present strategy, if they are aware captives have been taken, is to organize a counter-raid at the Slums portal and attack through the slave pits to free their own. Anticipate resistance within our own home.

If you take slaves, hold them for a period to disrupt the enemy. Do not immediately collar them. Do not leave witnesses to report your raids. 

Until the Hubmaster is petitioned over this egregious defensive oversight, I advise the utmost of caution.
