View source for Andunor Attacked: Think Tanks & Illithid

This tencycle Andunor was visited by another Psychic Resonance Event. Thankfully the network of Dampening Emitters throughout the city did their job, and much of the psychic fallout was thankfully mitigated to less populated and poorer areas of the city.

The Devil's Table was hit hardest in a very clear escalation of the ongoing conflict: Actual Mind Flayers poured out of the Table library and began consuming brains, wreaking havoc, and casually performing myriad acts of gratuitous genocide. 

Andunor's Finest once again repelled the attack, and in doing so located a device presently dubbed a "Think Tank." 

Currently the Arcanum is operating with the theory that a sole Illithid agent, or thrall, places one of these Tanks in a remote area, and then the Tank itself facilitates either a demi-gate, or planar slip, for Mind Flayer forces pre-staged in a remote area to swiftly move through and attack.

To evidence the above theory: the Table's library soon after the attack caught fire. Trails of brimstone were tracked out from the Tank's location suggesting Illithid forces awaited likely on a layer of the Nine or the Abyss - when they translated into the Prime it is abundantly possible that enough particles of one of these planes made it through enough to start a conflagration in a building stuffed with paper.

The potent psychic field of one of these devices is potentially very capable of withstanding the dampening field of the Emitters. The Emitters are wide range, but the Tank's themselves produce an acute localized effect that can still produce nominal enough results for an attack. This is a clear counter-measure to our own counter-measure.

Should anyone find a Tank with a Brain hovering in it: Don't go near it, notify the authorities, and it will be recovered and disposed of. Failing that - just destroy it, but for the love of the Goddess at least tell someone.
