I write the citizens of Wharftown, the good people I had come to know and love. I'm writing this to apologize to what I and my dearly departed friend, Rey Angelus-Bibliophilus had tried to do to your poor little mayor. For we had tried to push him from his seat of power. We wished only to give you people a better mayor and a better guard force. It was not our intention to resort to violence, that was our last ditch effort.

The bounty posted, was done by myself with a light spell so that I could trace Magil's handwriting and forge the paper. The crier was paid by Rey to shout that there was a bounty upon his head. This was our attempt at getting Magil's Assassin out of the way. Unfortunately Sillis did not react to the ploy. It was a fool move on our part.

Sadly one of us had paid the price. Rey has been caught and executed in Cordor, his head hung from Wharftown's board for three weeks so I'm told. If I could go back and stop myself from writing such a thing, I would. However, there is one thing I am not sorry for. That is calling your Mayor a Jackass. With his attitude in my final weeks of service, his attitude was lacking in anything tasteful. Drinking non stop with his friends in Guldorand. Even his wife agreed with me... Sorry Saretta, this is a time of truth for me. Don't hate me.

So in short, while our intentions were to relieve Magil of his position without violence, both Rey and I have paid the price for our betrayal if you wish to call it that. We are sorry and it wont happen again. I say We, because I know where ever his soul is, I know he didn't mean for the outcome and the negativity that erupted from this. But I have to say, when you want to improve something you love by removing the bad. Steps need to be taken. I'm sorry you all had to suffer through this. I love you all, especially you Gidderio.
