People of Arelith, I write to you now to plead for your support in ridding this land of a terrible evil. My name is Edward Cordor, the grandson of Nathaniel Cordor, and I am heir to the throne of Cordor. In my younger years, far, far away from this land I was captured by the Shadovar. I have been tortured, broken, imprisoned and left to rot in a cell on the orders of Vetinari himself. Only by the actions of a few brave people do I have the privilege to be able to write this now.

The upper echelon of Cordor's government is scared. Their acts of depravity against their subjects and fellow nations is all due to their pursuit of a single man. I've never had grand dreams of becoming a King, nor do I particularly find the idea of taking something that others have defended for decades to be something I am worthy of.

I stand as nothing more than a way for the people of this land to put an end to Vetinari's tyranny, and make Cordor the city it should be. By right, Cordor is mine. But I wish, instead, to give it to the people if that is what they so choose.
